I just discovered your video after going to Thurmond over the previous weekend. The composition of your shots, the shot sequence and the music gave me goosebumps. Thank you.
Very nice video. My brother and I went there about 3 years ago and I really enjoyed it. I'm Mike Braun from Fayetteville, NC and I just bought this phone from my mom, so it's still in her name. My brother and I have a You Tube channel as well. Our channel is Braun bros and briar. We do pipe tobacco reviews, exploration videos, train videos, and a few white water rafting videos.
Looks like you had the same luck as me when I have been there. Few or NO trains. I don't now why railroads spend so much to maintain a railroad then not seem to use it. Nice drone video. These fascinate me. Thanks.
I read the other comments and I definitely concur. let me tell you that I grew up in Rochester NY but I now live near Orlando FL, however since becoming a true railfan a few months back I am really convinced that WV is probably the most beautiful state that I have"visited" on RUclips! I especially liked Iaeger and Davy. I must know who the music artist was on your video. please. the video and the music were awesome. good job! I have suscribed.
Did you see a white car while you were there? I was in Thurmond over the summer and someone was filming with a DJI drone while I was there. Kinda random question, I was there with my dad.
Hi J.D, Lewis here from Like A Shot Entertainment. We would like to purchase rights to use this clip for a popular Discovery Science doc series we make called Mysteries of the Abandoned. A trip back home wouldn't be complete without a drive to Thurmond.
My great grandfather was from this place my grandfather was born there
Very nice place. I never seem to get enough of this historic tranquility.
I love Thurmond. I go there all the time. My dad was born there and his dad worked for the C&O out of Thurmond.

All I see is potential and opportunity. All I need is the Powerball to realize it.
Thurmond is less than 10 miles from where I live. I have been there many times.

BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL WEST VIRGINIA
beautiful and not far from Home
I would visit this place every few weeks I used to live a few miles down the road now I’m in Fayetteville
Should have shown some of the old houses on the hill there right above the town front. Pretty good history on the hill too.
Nice
That was fantastic. You must have some expensive toys!

thats a coaling tower used to service steam locomotives
pretty sweet...
Very well done video for us railfans !!, Who is the artist(music) and song name, it's great music to listen to ?
Excellent musical score - fits the subject very well. Who was it?
I've see the trainz route
But in this video it looks so different
What type of drone is that? And love the video
The type that flies
is theres a house with a fence across the river?
Although being in the National Park, it’s illegal to fly a drone there.
You can fly over/through town, that part isn't illegal. You can NOT take off or land in the national park, that is where they get you.
@@toddcrone7803 The whole area is a National Park, not just the town.
