Stop telling people to sell their bitcoin. You should tell them to stop buying bitcoin till they get out of debt. That's the worst financial advice you could ever give and there's about to be a lot of people that sold that may not be able to handle it moving forward.

As someone who’s struggled with mental health, there’s a point where you have to stop lowering the expectations for yourself because of it. You can’t pat yourself on the back because at least you’re still alive. You’re setting the bar at literally just existing. It’s demeaning to expect so little of yourself. A big part of improving your mental health is to realize you’re just as capable as everyone else and setting higher standards. The whole point of going to a therapist is to get a hold of all your mental health issues.

Word. I had PTSD from a bad surgery at 22 that affected me most of my 20s. My MH wasn’t great before, but I was a basket case after.
But crying about being crazy doesn’t pay bills and I had to decide: was I gonna be crazy on a corner, or crazy in a condo?
And if I could be crazy in a condo, how was I going to go about getting there?
So first, I moved back home. Then I aggressively paid off my student loan. Then I aggressively paid off my car. They weren’t fun years - I didn’t party, travel, or eat out often - but by the time I was thirty, my career paid peanuts (less than this OP by a fair bit), but I had no “bad debt”. I stayed at home, and saved aggressively for a down payment. Anything that wasn’t an expense was immediately shifted to savings, and now I’m 35, have owned my condo for two years, and just upgraded my career such that I can start aggressively saving for retirement and a robust investment portfolio.
Still crazier than a bag of kicked cats - but I was right: it’s more comfortable being crazy in a condo than on a corner, so I really don’t truck with OPs who use “but my mentals” as a gloss over their issues.
Homie has a support system. They’re just shit at saving

Can I offer a free recommendation to the present and future married folks who appear on this show?
Maybe schedule your financial audits at such a time where both yourself and the spouse can attend, further facilitating your ability to remain on the same page financially?..
It's always rough when a married person shows up for a financial audit; yet the spouse is technically out of the loop until after the show finally airs.

Learn to make bread specifically, go into any bread group and you will hear multiple people talk about how theraputic it is and it costs next to nothing.

One of the greatest things about this show is the relatability. Believe it or not, as someone with an eating disorder, the fast food can be a saving grace. It can be a burden as I’m trying to get out of debt. But like Caleb said. I’ve started putting up systems and I’ve worked a buffer into my budget for when I have withdrawals. I’ve done so well lately. Since I’ve first started watching Caleb I have paid off my credit cards, medical debt, and taken a huge chuck out of my car. I’m gunning after those student loans. It’s been a journey but without Caleb and his relatable guests idk where I’d be now. Probably still struggling week to week.

Working two jobs, while going to school and juggling internships has been wild but it’s paying off very quickly and I’m almost out of the dark. I also started with a lot less debt than most.
