They fixed the plot hole. The Sigil pre-emptively made it where no witch could know he was Billy and Lilia placed it before the car accident. That's almost certainly why Wanda couldn't find him. Jac Schaeffer had it covered.
Exactly. Lilia hid both of Billy’s names too - we see that when he tells Agatha William Kaplan AND Billy Maximoff in episode 6. My only complaint is if she hadn’t, Wanda likely wouldn’t have lost her mind like she did. If she had found Billy, I’m sure she would’ve taken him from William’s parents. But it would’ve given her hope Tommy was out there too, and we wouldn’t have an entire movie about her trying to use America (character, not country or continents lol) to find the boys and bring them back to her universe.
@@Unfamous-Chronicles I suspect Lilia was intentionally hiding him from Wanda. She wouldn't have done it to hide him from Agatha because Agatha was trapped and Wanda would've long since found him. Agatha's not who Lilia was protecting him from, I don't think. In a scenario where Wanda had found her sons, yes she would've had the boys. But she still had the Darkhold, she was still missing Vision and she even said herself the boys weren't going to be stabilizing for her. When finding a world where she could have her boys was offered, she basically said she'd burn the world down if one of her kids got sick. So, you basically would have had her single parenting two children who were extraordinarily powerful. And none of them would've had any training for how to wield it. Doing what Lilia did, Billy had 3 years with excellent parents in a stable environment and (depending on what goes down in the next two episodes) he may be able to have some women in his life who can give him some life advice on how to handle magic. And THEN he can go find his mama. As someone who's better prepared to handle her and handle himself. I may be overthinking it, but I think that's what Lilia was doing. Watch me be totally wrong. lol. But yeah, I think Wanda needed to be separated from the Darkhold and I think BIlly needed some time in effectively a nice foster home and maybe some good mentoring. In no small part because, you will recall, his mother was prophesied to bring an end to the world. She needs people in her life who can be a stabilizing, positive force. Maybe Billy needed some time to be able to become that for her.
Wand did noy only see her children "die", she was the one killing them. Why would she search this world for the children she killed when there where other worlds where they not only where alive but also unaware of what she did to them. A very simple answer to "how could they have stayed hidden" is that Wanda actually never looked. She said it herself in WandaVision that not even she can bring back the dead. So where did the voice calling for help come from? My guess would be from the Darkholde since it knew that would call Wanda to action.
Film Parasie obviously didn't watch the show as it was explained that the sigil placed on him before William died hid Billy from all witches (which would have included Wanda).
Well could be a mix of things, such as the script writers for MoM admitted to not watching WandaVision, despite their plot being based around its conclusion. Or hiring a director who really excels at horror films and then not stopping him when he was clearly making a character behave like a horror monster. Or the fact that the films goal was to make Dr. Strange the "correct opinion" even though most often he's trying to stop Wanda rather than help her find the way. A number of reasons obviously.
The sigil prevented Wanda from finding Billy's soul. However, if Tommy was also reincarnated, she should have sensed him because as far as we know Tommy doesn't have a sigil.
Billy is a magically created being. In the comics a piece of Mephisto's soul was involved. I theorize that in the MCU it is actually a piece of Wanda's soul that created Billy and Tommy's soul.
Had Wanda realized that Billy had reincarnated, she wouldn't have had to go through all the multi-dimensional mishegoss. She could have just gone to the next town over and killed the Kaplan's and reunited with Billy and then used their powers combined to search for Tommy. Would not have made for as exciting of a movie, though.
My Theory is that because of their status as twins, the sigil actually hid them both from Wanda and what she heard at the end of wandavision was muffled subconscious echo of the boys calling out to her from under the sigil, which is also likely the reason why Billy didn’t remember who he was until now. His personality was being suppressed by the spell
Smh. The SIGIL works on ALL WITCHES. Its not a plothole its you not realising the obvious. If the basic runes agatha casted in her basement worked on wanda, the single most powerful witch in the multiverse the sigil would obviously work too. Hell it even worked on Billy himself. He couldnt remember who he or william were.
As powerful as the scarlet witch is, she seems to be bound by most laws of witchcraft. It would be nice to find out all her limitations. In the case of rio, if she is lady d, I wonder what her limitations are as well.
Another possiblity is Lilia casted the sigil on Billy, that sigil would work on Wanda too.
Tommy didn't have that sigil why didn't they know where tommy was except if that sigil on billy affected tommy.

Thought it was pretty apparent that the Lillia's sigil would prevent The Scarlet Witch from locating Billy.

The spell on Billy hid Billy's soul even from Wanda.
The distraction didn't help, but I think the tragic car accident had more to do with the truck coming at them head-on in their lane...
