Watching Chris set up he gets in a good position and then pulls himself in to an even better position. Killa.
Ed Coan has a similar style. Get in a good position then continue to build tension by wedging yourself under the bar. I know for me, just watching these guys pull has allowed me to breakthrough sticking points and understand what is needed for a solid pull. That being said I’m still a weakling (compared to these guys) only having pulled 405 lb. But for me, where I’m at in my lifting career is very satisfactory for myself.
Its been a long way coming but the recent videos from the ST crew is the best on youtube. It comes to show that if you put your best into what you know best, good things come. Mark Bell, Jim McDonald, Silent Mike and the rest of the ST crew, thank you. You make the world a better place to lift.

Love this video getting so many great tips on deadlift. Trying to keep my back as straight as possible has been something I've been working on and it's tough to keep everything tight but watching these lifts have given me new things to try thanks Mark and Chris!
Duffin's attention to breathing is very welcome. It is the foundation of every movement and every process. His attention to grounding is spot on, as well. These are two practices that will help you in and out of the gym.

Just to note on the last few videos featuring Chriss Duffin -- I have been able to get more mobility in my legs and increase my squat thanks to those videos. You guys are awesome.

Just a terrific video, Mr. Bell. Took some lessons watching and listening to Duffin and you. I am 68 years old and just started up again about a month ago. I prioritized my Deadlift then Squat and then Bench. So your videos provide a lot of help and humor. Thanks for the hard work.

great video It was a great video because of the focus, intensity of rage and sheer effort put into every lift. Makes me motivated to snap my fucking back in half.
We did this on our last deadlift day and it was crazy how your more relaxed while lifting but at the same time your still fired up. After deadlifts doing accesory work your lower back is not tight at all. Now rolling out of bed the next morning is a different story:) Great method to try.

I think you should do an episode on Chris Duffin taking a shit eleven times per day. That man is an enigma.
Man, Zyski looks like he has sub optimal form. It looks like he is doing a stiff legged deadlift. Like he is just bending forward, rather than getting the hips down. It looks like the bar has such a long way to travel.
Then if you watch Duffin, he looks like he is upright the whole time. Making 715 look easy. Wow.

To fail at a deadlift is probably the worst feeling of any fails in lifting. Especially when 45% the way through the rep, because you know the last 30% is smooth sailing

overall its a full body workout if your not feeling everything then your doin it wrong and you need to keep stretching and working on keeping yourself upright not anything less than a 75degree angle cuz then you just start subbing out all your lower muscles and start using more back .

Athlete enthusiasts must know, that these people have already dedicated their whole life to weightlifting and the vast majority of the people cannot compete with them . So it is better to have in mind that the exercise itself is more important than trying break the records or get the bodies you see in videos around the youtube .
What a wonderful strategy for lifting like an animal. LOL I know this guy is the real deal simply from his rabid wolverine-like attack on the weights, and his otherwise stoic, monk-like demeanor. I saw genuine concern on Mark's face after Duffins failed 805 attempt. Like wondering if he was going to come out of whiskey and rage fueled viking berserker mode. LOL
Manipulating these base human instincts is something so few people will ever tap into.
