Actually, I'm an uber-nerd. They've fought several times in the comics. Nearly every time, Batman wins. He outsmarts Superman, he takes the upper hand when Superman can't do what needs to be done, or he simply uses one of the 3 forms of Kryptonite he keeps in his belt.

Usually, a 'versus' story doesn't work like that. What happens is they start off fighting, then some greater threat to humanity comes along and they collaborate to overcome it, so the rivalry is never resolved.

Actually, I'm an uber-nerd. They've fought several times in the comics. Nearly every time, Batman wins. He outsmarts Superman, he takes the upper hand when Superman can't do what needs to be done, or he simply uses one of the 3 forms of Kryptonite he keeps in his belt.
I'm not an uber nerd so I don't know this for sure, but I'm pretty sure superman has a few suits that can withstand kryptonite, also he can just laser batman with his laser-vision

Usually, a 'versus' story doesn't work like that. What happens is they start off fighting, then some greater threat to humanity comes along and they collaborate to overcome it, so the rivalry is never resolved.

In reality, Batman would probably have to set up some sort of kryptonite trap to take Superman down. If Superman got to Batman before he could prepare, Superman would win 100% of the time.
the thing is batman is always prepared somehow..thats kinda his thing. Psychotic even, but he is always one or two steps ahead of most people. Besides, superman won't attack batman without giving him warning or a chance to talk,he is known for his decency, or at least he used to be decent(or naive, whatever floats your boat, I'm going with naive) in the past, no idea about the cavill superman.

Batman is not always prepared, maybe for normal villains, but not for beings like Superman. Like I said, Batman has never beaten Superman in the official DC Canon, only in alternate universe stories, like the Dark Knight Returns. In fact the only time they "really" fought, like life or death, was when Superman was being mindtricked by Maxwell Lord, and Superman beat Batman within an inch of his life, and Batman had Wonder Woman with him too, Superman almost killed her as well, until she slit Superman's throat and snapped Maxwell Lord's neck. Also if you are going to give Batman prep time in said fight, then Superman gets equal prep time. And lets not forget Superman is Smarter than Batman, he has and builds more advanced alien technology in his fortress then ALL of Bruce's gadgets, the phantom Zone gun or radiation suit.
Yes my point exactly, every time they fought and superman won , he was not himself. Thats the whole dynamic of their relationship, superman do not have it in him to go against batman all out at once. And have you read batman? I am sure there are many many cases where batman has prepared some thing up his sleeve against beings that are sometimes even beyond superman, darksied for example. And superman isn't smarter, his race is more advanced than the human race. He just reverse engineered or studied the tools of his people. His father, however is another case. That guy is a smart scientist.
Personally I don't really like Superman. He is just too powerfull. He is super smart, super fast, super strong, super endurable, has heat and x-ray vision, freezebreath, super hearing and can live longer than any human being. While Batman is just a human. He was born without any super abilities - just a rich kid with issues, LOT'S of issues. He had to achieve physical and mental perfection to be recognized as a superhero while other hereos are mostly just born with or simply gain their powers. I'd say BATMAN FOR THE WIN!!!!
