What I love about Craig Ferguson is that with him, it's less about interviewing and promoting and more of an insight into a hilarious conversation between two great people. Love his show.
I don't understand why the people in amerika don't understand the scottish accent! I mean, I'm not even a native english speakter but I understand everything they're saying
We Americans have always had a romantic fantasy of all Scotsman living in fancy, medieval castles and personally partying with Sean Connery himself, lololol! That's what we like to think of when we think of Scotland.
First time I ever met someone fresh from the Scottish shores she asked me the same question(I think)three times and I couldn't understand a word 'cause all the letters at the ends of the words-consonants,mostly-disappeared.But it WAS very charming.Craig should have Scottish Week:James,Ewan McGregor,Gerard Butler,Kelly MacDonald,Billy Connolly,Kevin McKidd,Craig's sister Lynn,Billy Boyd...we might need subtitles once they REALLY get going but it would be worth it...the vortex to end all vortexes!
Okay, if the 2 of them were joined by Sean Connary, my heart would just stop right there. Too much Scottish hotness. >///< McAvoy is too cute here (like I wasn't half in love w/ him already for X-Men: First Class).
The boys??? Hell, my mother was born in Scotland!!! Okay, let's agree, pacifists they're not! But ain't that part of the charm? Love it when Craig is on a rant! PS: Thank you for all you do for all of us. You are deeply appreciated!!
What wierd is that I want to be from somewhere in Britain or Australia but now I noticed that I really only want Craig's voice I'm going to work on it because now I really only watch British television so I'm kinda starting to talk like that not on purpose its really scary for me and the people around me
Their Scottish accent, no problem understanding. Go up around Inverness and listen to someone from out in the country and you can't believe you're speaking the same language. As far as charm, they're neck and neck with the Irish IMHO.
Well, perhaps you were talking to the wrong people at the wrong time... in the wrong manner. As a Scot who has lived most of his life in the old country I'd be happy to introduce you to the more enlightened and less pessimistic of my countrymen (and women). ;-)
You seriously can't hear the difference between "Kregg" and "Craygue"? In America and Canada it's mostly Kregg but in Australia, Britain, Ireland and New Zealand it's mostly Craygue. "Tune" is a bit more subtle, like the word dew ("Dyoo" and "djew").
I'm a bit confused, too, if you think we're making a similar point. I'm denouncing the kind of generalism that leads people like LolHart to make sweeping statements about a country. As for jobs, Scotland has the third lowest rate of unemployment in the UK behind the south east and south west of England. It has the best-ranked University behind Cambridge and Oxford. Health is a serious issue, agreed. Government? Independence is looming. A bit shit? Hardly.

I love it when Scottish people are on the show! They just have the best time being Scottish at each other! :)
"Clothes will be swooped off into this vortex of charming Scottish people."
I worry that is what will happen to me if I ever get to move to Scotland.
I don't understand why the people in amerika don't understand the scottish accent! I mean, I'm not even a native english speakter but I understand everything they're saying
love to hear the scottish accent, don't loose the accents
James's joke about being sunburnt and also being lambasted by the British press is VERY funny....... if you're British.
"What would you classify as real sex?" - "Would you like me to show you?"
OH YES.
It's the accent mate, it's all about the accent...
I love how their accents kind of ramp up and off each other throughout the episode.
This definitely a go to video, when you're feeling down...bloody adorable :)
Hearing those two talking was so pleasant. I really like the accent.
"Would you like me to show you?" HELL YES.
This vortex also occurred when Robert Carlyle was on this show.
I've met charming Scottish people.Sometimes I needed a translator, but they were quite charming.
Craig, James and Ewan = Scottish Vacuum of charm, someone needs to make this happen :D
I was ripped apart by the vortex of Scottish charm
We need MORE of these vortexes!
I've never heard James McAvoy's real accent before. It's pretty cool. :)
Oh my God...too much Scottish charm in this video...I don't know how much longer I can hold on...
OMG... they are adorable and charming... gotta love them. :D
We Americans have always had a romantic fantasy of all Scotsman living in fancy, medieval castles and personally partying with Sean Connery himself, lololol! That's what we like to think of when we think of Scotland.
Ok, this is at least the 20th time I watch this interview...c'mon Marta!
I could watch these two sit and talk forever! lol Thanks for uploading.

They went full Ned.
Every time he says "wife" my heart breaks a little... :'(
What a gorgeous accent
Thank you, James McAvoy for distracting me from Tom Hiddleston (even if only for a wee moment). So fecking adorable.

He needs to be on the show again! ASAP!
"Scotch is a drink you daft bampot!"
Heterosexuality was never an option...
sigh...both just so lovely
Omg he's so fucking adorable
oh my god cutest and funniest thing I have ever seen. James is too adorable, I was laughing like the whole time I watched this!
"He doesn't say that! He shouldn't say that! He so changed!"
Scottish Charm....isn't that redundant?
Wow. The lighting in the studio was so much brighter back then. No wonder Craig complains about his lighting now.
Yeah, they met in Shameless. On the very first episode. Twice. :D
I need to visit Scotland!
I'm Jamaican:)... & now I can't stop grinning
that was such a funny amazing interview. Got to love the scottish!
I wish all us Scots were as charming as these guys
If Scotland's 'a bit shit' why do so many people from the rest of the UK come to visit it so much?
James is so cute and funny, I love how he's so sexually outspoken but he's really funny about it :)
Now I have to narrate my life with a scottish accent, or I won't feel charming enough. Thanks a lot...
I WASNT READY FOR JAMES THO
I come from a time when men were men and the sheep were nervous!
when he says " would you like me to show you"
Suddenly, my brain reads everything in a Scottish accent.
Too much Scottish goodness for me to handle. James McAvoy, I really really like you! Craig too!
just home from Scotland yesterday and I have to agree with you there :)
you have to love that sly little smirk when James asks Craig-Craaayg!- if Craig would like to be shown what Real Sex is like...lol
Ok I am so ready for that Scotty McAvoy charm. Also I can so understand scottish. Mabey cause I watch to much BBC but it doesn't matter I love MCAVOY!
I loved this~! Thankyou.xoxo
WHAT..no Gerard Butler? LOL .Now THAT would make one hell of a Scottish vortex haha!
3:02. Yes. Yes, please.
HA! Had no idea that Jon Cryer was the one who coined the Scottish Vortex of Charm.
Okay, if the 2 of them were joined by Sean Connary, my heart would just stop right there. Too much Scottish hotness. >///< McAvoy is too cute here (like I wasn't half in love w/ him already for X-Men: First Class).

they looks like they're father and son.

"Do you know what that was?! A Scottish vaccuum of charm" hahaha
I love being Scottish :')
So the first time McAvoy had sex with his wife they were both faking it? :)
I love scottish men.
"Everyone in Scotland is that charming" I don't doubt that... get me outta here!! xD
she's kinda homely looking..but I really like James..Exp after watching X-men, so classy!
Nooooooooo!!! We hate being called "Scotch", that's what the English say. :p
I love you man!
Well, perhaps you were talking to the wrong people at the wrong time... in the wrong manner. As a Scot who has lived most of his life in the old country I'd be happy to introduce you to the more enlightened and less pessimistic of my countrymen (and women). ;-)
