Back in 85 I was working in a sawmill in Quebec right on the Vermont border and I used to unload a guy who had a 84 /2 85s and his personal truck was a new 86 that he’d just took delivery of and it looked almost identical other than colour it had the 500 V8 he pulled Btrains 140 000 lbs plus
He said the only thing that could pass him was the 3408 cat & the kta Cummins it’s a beautiful truck and brings back memories of a simpler time
My fav truck of all time. Nothing finer than a Mack Superliner. Plus your never late with a V-8… Kicker back….
Couldn't agree more!
Absolutely gorgeous! Please don't ever sell it to some clown that going to cut it all up to make it "cool". Its perfect just the way it is! Or you could just add me as a beneficiary. 😂😂
Life is great, when you wheel a V-8
beauty of a truck, funny how the E9 exhales more through the right than the left stack. That is a single turbo? Y-pipe restricted on the left or run to the right shorter?
That's mostly the type of ypipe used
100% y pipe. That 12 speed Mack trans is HUGE they y pipe is a little goofy to fit everything in there
Absolut a beauty Macky\8/✌️
Don’t forget Double Eagle sleepers Shipshewana Indiana
Wow) Absolut a beauty Macky) love it)
Nice truck but she still could use some work....I spied a pretty significant turbo leak and under the hood could use some tlc.
It needs a manifold for sure and he’s well aware. Unfortunately v8 Mack parts aren’t as easy to come by as they once were
It’s a pretty cool truck with a cool paint job, well done
Great to see u back driv,ah. Great video let's keep em coming.
More stuff on the way, just been a little lazy with the channel since becoming a dad.
@@youngtrucker CONGRATULATIONS buddy. I totally understand keep up the great work
Guy (host) 100% looks like young Jerry Reed.
Sweet looking machine... Super liners have always been the to of the class for me.
Long live the bulldog!
Hard to beat a Superliner and being a V8 makes it just awesome! Beautiful survivor
One cool azz old Superdog!
Sweet truck
Drove a lot of Macks back in the day. Cabs are a little tight for a 6'4 driver
For sure definitely tight
I wish you got a better record of the engine sound so I could prove my point to Pete lovers
The motor?!? Didn’t show the motor
Nice truck. ❤ I could use a e9 or two.
My dad had a 500 E9 flat top in 1985. That thing could blow the doors off anything back then. 9 speed transmission too. Lol.
If the bunk was 10 inches longer would have had the look
You’re not too far from the fruit bowl
Never seen that truck in the garage before
He’s had it a couple years now
@@youngtrucker very nice people was a pleasure to meet them
Back when trucks were built to last
For sure
Imagine how good that would look if the tanks run to the bunk some steps put on it stretched out and lowered....would be really cool and original
Forget original man if I owned that truck I d put D15 Detroit with 505 horsepower and 18 speed Eaton trans and drive that truck all over except California
Beautiful truck
It sure is!
A true classic awesome from the word go 😊
My dad owned a lot of internationals and said the ones built in Canada always had tighter fitting doors.
It’s interesting to learn how things differed back in the day. Shame how cheap things have gotten now days and aren’t built like this
Awesome superdog!!!!
Good looking old dog
CLARIFICATION NOTE :
“ MACK “ has never held the title for
“ King of the Road “ …..
Anyone who is older and drove trucks in the 70’s or 80’s knows
That KENWORTH was classified and coined as the Original “ KING OF THE ROAD “ !!!
PETERBILT on the other hand was a
“ Class Act “ or “ Class Pays “ coined Truck !!!
Mack on the other hand was coined the
Beast or Brute !!!!
Please in the future don’t confuse these terms …. Thanks
Title of king of the road goes to whatever is badass and cool. Lots of guys think kw and Pete are the only two cool trucks out there but I know where there’s plenty of trucks that aren’t kw that for sure qualify as king of the road
@@youngtrucker your title clearly answers my wonders about why you would say such a thing..
@@youngtrucker Clearly the 80’s was before your Time!! I’m 47 and I was around and I went to Several TRUCK shows in California from 1984 to 1988 … particularly Anaheim California.
And I hung out with many “ Old School Truckers” back then… and if you ever meet one from the WEST COAST …. Those old guys will tell you the SAME EXACT THING…. The KING OF THE ROAD is a KENWORTH!! No EXCEPTIONS!! Even the 1980’s TV commercials said the same thing!!
I’m not here to “ Argue “ the facts… only help set you straight on them.
Now does Mack have some cool trucks… sure they do… I’ll admit that… my personal favorite in the
Mack trucks is the Rawhide series!!!
@@shadewoodrome333 anyone can call any truck (King Of The Road.). Oh the 80’s was after I started out in trucking. Spent 46 years in the trucking business. So if your 47 then I spent your life minus one year in the trucking businesses.
@@darylthisdelle7702 okay Mr supreme burrito 🌯 you got all the Answers don’t you!! This is exactly why this country is going to hell because of LIARS and ignorance!!
Good truck and nice sound😅
Glad you like it!
