14:00 I like to put some paper in the hat itself, I feel that it keeps the shape of the hat as well as prevents it getting smushed or creased.

I've never had luck doing box-in-a-box when they're the same size. I think your idea the other day of wrapping the inner item was probably the better choice. I'm curious which of the two you prefer now after having both done and watched yourself doing both methods on something like that?

I received a baby bottle warmer from a seller on ebay and they shipped it in the original box 😢No additional outer box to protect and the top flap wasn't even taped shut.... amazed it didn't fall out of the package!!!
Wow that's crazy. That's why I try not to take it too personally when I have messages from customers trying to tell me how to pack something, they've probably received things like that before.
@@imgonnapackit It was totally crazy! I love packing my items up and I just couldn't believe it made it in one piece. I got a great price so I was just happy it was in there :)

Lonnie, that was a very very difficult double box you ran into… but my question is that since you put the original item into the first large brown box, why did you feel it needed to be essentially triple boxed (original product packaging, the first shipping box and then the second shipping box??? Was it bc of price paid,you didn’t want any possibility of damage…even a semi truck rolling over it? This brings up a suggestion I have for your new shipping channel, can you quickly summarize the cost they paid for the item? It’s not continuous for us with your what’s sold videos…so we probably forget! And, if there’s ever a special pack you did bc of price paid, a little message on screen might help us out?
I wanted the extra strength. It’s a double box (not triple)because if the product box takes damage that’s a fail in my book. I put the thumbnails for every sale up on the screen, that shows what they paid. Is that what you are looking for?
Oh to answer your other question- I wanted the extra strength because the item was directly against the shipping box. Meaning, if that box gets a dent so does the item. In most of the packs I will float the item in the middle. So we have space and box strength protecting. On this one- space protection was set to zero so I upped the box strength. Just the way I think. Price is a factor too, always.
@@imgonnapackit yes, but unless I missed it… on this one (and maybe some others I’ve seen in the special packing videos) have not had the prices onscreen? Maybe I watch too many of your videos? Lol
@@imgonnapackit ok, I can see that…but then my follow up question: perhaps find a shipping box which is larger, so there’s not zero room left…and you could stick your craft paper sheets in there???
