If you looks into the background lore of every Fate Servants, I think 90% of them are filled with betrayals, tragedies and hatred (especially those of Avengers). Seriously, only a handful of them actually have a long and fulfilling life without being killed or dying with regrets.

He explained that it was because he believed that God would punish him for it and he tried to proof that the that god is a "good" guy and will punish the sinful by being a super bad guy. His master make him realized that God is a dick...
What I love the most about the Kara no Kyoukai part is that, that last tiny hand reaching out for Mikiya is probably Ryougi Mana's. It ends so perfectly! Shiki saying goodbye to Tomoe and then going on to live her life with Mikiya, which would culminate in their daughter Mana. That segment is so special! ^_^
Gilles seeing Jeane again and seeing her forgiving smile to the man who broke into despair from her death makes me so happy because through this his painful suffering ends
