I don't comment tutorials that often... but your videos are worth it. They are inspiring and always induce own ideas, open new "horizons" and are always a source of creativity. Great stuff as always, Demis Hellen!
Start small and easy with chords and then work on the harmonies within the scale. It can start as trial and error but once you get familiar the easier it becomes.😎
the way you're positioning everything reminds me of how a string section is placed in a score, complete with bridging through to chords vs every chord change being at the measure.
Hi Demis, I bought your latest arps pack - great stuff! In this video you talk about 1 5 6 4 chord structure - Question - Is there a list anywhere of these numbers for Trance composition? Cheers!
Thank you, I appreciate your support in my work. If it helps my “Midi Stems” pack list the chord structures included in the pack. There are 40 chord structures and 40 example midi Melodies to accompany.
Great video as always. Are you using a special skin/template for Cubase. Or is there a setting I can change to make the notes go amber then green when moving the midi. Mine are set default red at the moment
Really depends where the inspiration comes from. Sometimes it's the way I show in the video, other times it's something I playing when jamming on the keyboard or piano. 🎹
don't focus on the octave numbers too much, look at the chords at the beginning of the video to see why I chose A & C. The A notes are just the notes filling in the gaps between the top C notes but over 2 octaves. I show this when starting to build the arpeggio. 😎
@@demishellen good going Demis. Just an idea for future vids. You make a lot arp melodies, why not do some 2000 era chord stab progressions and or counter melodies that go with an arp/ chord progression. Lots of trance producers rely solely on the riff progression and lack the details with counter ear candy stuff bouncing off each other.
Very true and yes I agree with this idea. I am working on some new topics to expand the channel late knowledge. 😎 thanks for your continued support Polzn👍🏻
@@demishellen Are you aware of how the top pros layer their leads these days? They double their main lead in a separate channel, put a utility plugin on it and make it mono. Not many people know this but some have been doing it for many years
I now know 1000% more than a few minutes ago. Great lesson.
Thanks for tuning in, great to hear you learnt a lot from the video. 😎

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. 😎 glad it has given you some ideas.
Nice!👌 The biggest thing for me with Trance is cracking those highly emotive chord changes that sound like really ethereal melancholy 😅

Great stuff Demis, thanks.
Boy, you really nail it every time!
Absolutely fantastic as usual, I'm grabbing that Spire pack right now!
Thank you 😎

Thank you, the notes are set to scales instead of velocity. Along the top bar of your midi window near to the left side. 👍🏻😎
@@demishellen Thank you have it set now.
Привет demis ,покажи пожалуйста как делать интро. разгон и переход на яму в uplifting trance и какие лучше инструменты применять
When you start making a melody, do you start first with the chord progression or the arp?

Where do I find the Hive presets you made for Carpenter Brut bass?
The chord sounds at 1.42, have you got anything like that in a Serum preset?
🎉
Thank You very much for all the content shared. See you in 2025🍻
Thank you for your support. Have a great holiday 😎
Awesome tutorial, but I didn’t get why your pattern started from C4 A2 A1. How did you choose these notes? Why it’s not A3 A2 A1 or C4 C3 A1 ….?

do you also sell some tutorials with som midi files? I would like to buy it. :-)
I'm not happy, you cannot make a December video when we are still in November. Too confusing😀
Oh no, just pretend 😉 I thought I would release this one early to experience what the Patrons do 😎
