A little help, take a claw-hammer and lay it across the tread of the tire when prying off the second bead. Use your pry bar across the hammer just behind the hammers head where it chokes down towards the handle. Using that divot helps keep the bar from sliding and increases the area of applied pressure to a larger area of the tire. The longer the pry bar the easier it is to use and you reserve the energy for the rest of the tires and project. As a city teen transplanted to the country, I had to learn tire patching. It sucks and I’ll pay to have it done if I can, but I still do it when I have to. Fun fact, the higher the sidewall of a tire, the easier it is to take off and put on. New subscriber.
Wow! great tip. Ive only ever had to do this on one car and thats only because I couldnt be bothered to drive to the tyre shop. I think I enjoyed the fact that I worked out how to do it at home more than the money I saved by doing it 😄
