      Jorel Byssainthe Reggie has been a call-in guest on The Dan Patrick show for yeeeaaars. Like at least 15 years, which is when I first heard him on there. Dan used to introduce Reggie as Reggie Aloysius (al-o-wish-us) just to be funny. So Reggie, for his own sort of rebuttal, referred to Dan as Daniel Theodore. Over the years Reggie has just morphed it to just Theodore. Search for any Reggie Miller appearance on the DP show and you’ll hear the same. There’s dozens and dozens and dozens of times that he’s been on there. They’re really close

      I wasn't THAT big of a Kobe fan, but like so many non Lakers fans, I grew to respect and admire him over the years, kinda like Tom Brady.
      After retirement, I caught a couple interviews with him on RUclips, but I guess it took a little bit before I noticed him showing up around basketball, always with Gigi (I was coaching my son's team at Lower Merion High School at the time of the crash). I don’t know Kobe and he didn’t even know my existence. I knew him as one of the greatest basketball players someone l only gotten the chance to see on TV with a great heart very helpful to others, great star, a world greatest role model, my son’s favorite player on and on. After Michael Jordan I become a 100 % Lebron James Fan. To be honest I really didn’t like him because when he used to get one in one with Lebron James he made him feel a lesser player offensively and defensively now I feel completely destroyed mentally, physically, emotionally and on every aspect of my life. I sitting here thinking if l really don’t know him that much...imagine those people who really know and being around him I think those people feel like they are in the worsting planets world of their life. Therefore the best thing we could all do for him is asking God to forgive and Bless him to the maximum. May his daughter’s and his spirit Rest In Peace with tremendous force and courage to his family and all his surroundings.
    He will always be missed.

      The funny thing was that Kobe could've gotten immersed in the Hollywood lifestyle of sex, drugs, rock & roll but he abstained from it (the last 2 anyway) and focused almost entirely on basketball. That couldn't have been easy as a 17 year-old new to LA. That's what made Kobe better than others.

    • @jtremaine23
      @jtremaine23 4 года назад +2

      Yeah...I feel the same way. Michael Jackson's death was big as it shut down the whole internet but Kobe's is even more sad for some reason. The crazy thing is...I HATED Kobe as a player the moment he entered the league because he was trying to steal a certain player's moves/mannerisms/shine/etc but he was a very interesting person to listen to his last year and even in retirement.

    • @David_R922
      @David_R922 4 года назад +2

      Michael Jackson's death was a shocker but he looked frail the last few years. MJ lived a bizarre secretive life and even his death was clouded in mystery. Kobe's life and career was more of an open book, and he was healthy and full of ambition. Their deaths hit most people hard because they were worldwide icons.

    I know this show, was aired Monday, after this awful, heart wrenching, crushing tragedy.
    It’s truly sad, that Kobe, and Gigi was still alive, at this time last last week.
    week.
    Gianna was on her way to becoming a smart educated star in highschool, a woman NCAA basketball player, and even a WNBA superstar.
    (I know this will sound stupid), but i wish there was some way to time travel back to tell him.
    I wish Sunday morning somebody could go back in time, and warn him!
    I know not to never question why to god, but this one hurts!
    At least Kobe took Gigi to church before the accident.
    Just goes to show what an incredible father he was.
    He wanted Gigi to be anything she wanted to be, because she would have been great at , but also put god first, even if the kids had to wake up early.
    He was such a loving human being with his wonderful kids, and his amazing wife.
    Im in Houston, Texas, and its after 5am, so my apologies if I butchered spell checked snd miss s few commas.
    I’m still having a hard time finding the words, to express do Kobe, and Gigi justice. As well as the other kids, parents, Kobe’s hand picked assistant coach.
    I’m from Houston, felt like Kobe was the last old school school player from that gritty determination to win a championship.
    Just like MJ, & Kobe those 2 didn’t cry to their GM, ornasked to be traded to finals contenders or bust.
    I know Lebron is a laker, but I’m old enough to remember watching MJ in his prime, then likewise with Kobe!!
    Kobe, and MJ were in a class of there own!!
    With that being said, as much love I had for Jordan.
    Kobe was the last throwback player, that learned the game from Reggie Miller, and Michael Jordan!
    he played 20 seasons, never asked for more superstars, to win, or ask to change teams to join forces with other stars, to win championship! He stayed with LA thru thick, and thin.
    I know Lebron is a Laker, and is one of the greats, but sorry MJ, and Kobe, will go down as the top 2 GOATS 🐐
    RIP KOBE, GIGI, and those other families

Although I’m sure Kobe had no idea his time to be with Jesus Christ was here already (as none of us ever do), he prepared as if it was which is the point of John’s post.
