Oh man what a superb solo from Gerald Albright. He seems under rated and I'll never understand why.
Man! Gerald is the absolutest coolest! As chormatic2star said, "ridiculous"!
I actually love the way the guy in the middle played his solo. The funkiest of all. I transcribed and learned his licks! Thanks!

What the heck guys. These dudes basically tore this joint down with this track. Gerald in his his element as usual. Kool as ever....
Gerald's solo is ridiculous........He truly displays all of his skill and creativity. One of a kind saxophone player for sure.
What should here be ridiculous? Gerald is currently on of the best saxophone players in the world.
G is in a league of his own. Just the tone of his horn makes him stand out. He is up there with my absolute favs. But to say he made the other guys look bad is if they weren't great players in their own right. They were all so very good with Albright standing at the top.

I met the black dude with the bald head (not GA), backstage prior to an Earth, Wind and Fire show. he's the longtime tenor saxman with EWF. a very nice gentleman, very humble guy - and a very fine player - as you can see for yourselves. his name is Gary Bias. a bad boyy indeed on that saxophone.
Both Gary Bias and Gerald Albright went to Locke High School and were in the same graduating class..I used to study with both of them ( sax) under a wonderful teacher named Milton Hall...Watched both Gary and Gerald evolve into some incredible players..They were just bad from the get go, in my opinion...

What setting on the zoom did you use and did you use the built-in zoom mic or did you connected external mics?
The Prez's solo was quite excellent given that most of his time is probably spent as a business leader and not as a band leader. IMO, he can still outplay a lot of people who are supposed to be professional musicians... just not those two guys. :) Keep blowing, Prez.!
