I wish Gerald Albright had more free-playing jazz albums like Live at Birdland so I'm always happy to find videos like this one. That said - Keith Anderson toasted everyone on stage that night! A new favorite player for me - I've been listening to his stuff during all of my breaks. His sound is very similar to Stanley Turrentine. Does anyone have any recommendations to find his best solos playing as a sideman with RH, MM, or others?
Keith Anderson is a beast. He wilded out with Marcus Miller in Tokyo Jazz 2005 on Bruce Lee. Just ripped it! Marcus Miller Tokyo Jazz 2005 ruclips.net/video/ufRRp37P7Tk/видео.html
Keith Anderson is a monster player. I love his solo with Marcus Miller on "Free". Have you seen his other recordings with the Cannonball Band. Check out "If You Want Me To Stay". ruclips.net/video/D6SuYl2Z8jk/видео.html
I definitely agree... He saved my life some years ago, after losing my best friend on the back of my motorcycle... We were kids when we got hit by a drunk driver... He was a trombone player, but I picked up the sax in remembrance to him... he was 13 years old when he died... And some years later, Gerald Albright saved my life again, with his Musical consolement after I lost my daughter at her age of 20 from a rare form of throat cancer... I give him an extended thank you, for his musical contribution, ( indirect, life-saving, Musical consolement)... any gratification that Gerald Albright gets, would be more than an understatement...thank you w/God Blessing to you, & yours...😎💣🎷🍺🍻
Gorgeous music and Sax! Gerald Albright 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙋♀️❤️🇧🇷

Gerald is ridiculous, just ridiculous.
Not sure but...that looks like Melvin Davis on bass, which reminds me, Gerald can play the !*^#^! out of a bass.
You don’t want to follow the G Man on the solo
Sound man could do much better!
Don't you think they'd get tired of playing that melody?- so repetitive. Fine playing though.
you must not be a fan of James Brown!
