As someone who went overboard nesting before his arrival, I can tell you want to get a great diaper genie, and travel system (capsule/stroller). After that, I wished I had not got most of the items I did. Clothes will be way too abundant and he will grow so much and so fast that most outfits will never be worn. Diapers and wipes are the best gifts to receive. Change tables, bathing stations, cribs, co-sleepers will never get enough use in the first year to be worth the investment. Make sure your crib converts into a toddler bed and eventually day bed if you do get one. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the nesting process but his nursery ended up be a storage room for diapers within days of getting him home, and we only went in there to restock the baby bag (oh, get a good one of those too!)
