- Phil Lesh and Friends, the band with a rotating roster of legendary musicians, plays live at The Capitol Theatre in celebration of Phil for his 84th birthday. Tonight the band consists of Grahame Lesh, Amy Helm, Jason Crosby, Daniel Donato, and John Molo, bringing back some old favorites from Phil''s days as an original member of The Grateful Dead, "St. Stephen" and "Playing in the Band"
What a legacy. Cannot count the times i've seen Phil and the GD. The light generated... may it continue to be shed abroad for many years.
Thank you, Phil. Rest up, brother 🕊️
The light you have brought to the world is immeasurable ✨RIP
Rest in peace to an American master. Thank you for everything, Phil.
Catch you on the flip side Phil! Thanks for everything you did!
rip Phil lesh the legacy lives on forever dead head for life !
Happy birthday Phil !
I wish i could be there to celebrate with everyone! Much love to Terrapin Nation !
Oh mi oh my oh!
I loved that man so much. I really enjoyed the 2000-2005 years of Phil and Friends. I was fortunate enough to see 19 shows in that time frame. No doubt he had the best solo career post Garcia. It was strange and cool in the way it helped me cope with Jerry's death.
thanks for all the years at the Cap and before,...a great musician and even better human who expressed in his work and life a shared love of both,
Gunna miss those phil bass bombs, and his ability to bring a band together.. celebrating his amazing life within the grateful dead+beyond
Oh, my, God!!! I did enjoy D&C. A little slow at times, was definitely glad I saw the shows I saw. But, I don't recall them getting that "out there"!! Happy Birthday Phil and many more! 84 years old, still going strong. And almost 26 years survival and still going strong as a liver transplant survivor 😎
So happy to read your comment! Kind regards to you, keep enjoying the music and stay well.
The flute in the Playin' jam!! 😮❤
84 is a good long time ol boy. Miss you already Phil.
If I can make any kind of music at 84 I'll be happy. Amazing he can still keep it together for shows! LEGEND
My eyes watering up listening to this. Phil was a legend
Phil’s vocals on St. Stephen were outstanding! The rest of the song didn’t suck, either 🫠!
One of the best!
Great jam on the anniversary of the Phoenix Lights
they should've done a Close Encounters jam :)
rip phil
Amy passed on doing the famous Donna Godchaux riff.
Ummmm, no Karl D credits in the roster of who were Phil's friends that night?? beautiful St. Stephen jam. Fare thee well, Phil! you made it to the Promised Land! Give my regards to Uncle jerry. 😍
So many great years!!!!!
Happy Birthday Phil from Nebraska Brian

It's like Playing In The Band was meant to have flute...next The Other One...Black Peter...or Bird Song
Joan is such an awesome addition to the Dead.
Krasno is a monster!

Well said. Bravo. : )
Sooo good 🤙😇💀🌹⚡️
2:17 Saint Stephen
Is it Phil’s son and Eric Krasno on guitars?
I like the saxophone parts. They sound good.
Karl Denson is the best
Amy Helm - wife of legendary Levon ?
No 😂. Daughter.
can someone tell me the band members?
Amy Helm & Grahme Lesh are to Phil's right
Eric Krasno on guitar, John molo on drums, J crosby , Amy helm on vocals, Graham Lesh on guitar, and karl denson
Apart from the sax, great stuff!
I came here expecting to be. disapointed, but I was not. They are carrying on the legacy; the songs, the musicianship, and the improv. jams, thats what Grateful-Dead music is all about. Compare this with what Bono is doing with U.2. in Vegas. Now he's just a Vegas lounge act!
Phil loves those bald drummers..
do I like this/?dont know.....sounds like their speeding or something
Listen to your heart and you will hear/see
Plenty of D&C tickets available
@@drp1960😂😂😂
