Yoghurt, Ayran, Kumiss, Kefir and many others belong to the Central Asian Turks. The Greeks and other Balkan countries became acquainted with yoghurt, cacık and similar products during the Ottoman Empire. Yoghurt, kefir, kumiss, cacık are Turkish words.

That’s why yoghurts are from the dairy products and they are healthy

Not all yoghurt is made from diary products..it can be made from almond, soy, rice, coconut or numerous products that contains milk….vegans don’t eat dairy but there are alternative yoghurts like I mentioned.🇦🇺🇦🇺

Yoghurt goes back to the Neolithic era over 5000 years BC or roughly 7000 years ago…it might have been discovered because of warm temperatures causing bacteria to develop in milk..that’s part of Greek and Turkish history and it was only for the peasants to eat in the Greek era..ancient texts claim Turks used pots to store milk in..the word yogurmak means to kneed, thicken and curdle..then the idea spread…yoghurt is good for some people with lactose intolerance…full of calcium….and the bacteria is good for gut health like bloating…besides it a better alternative to some over processed foods with preservatives, thickening agents, anti caking agents and artificial colours and additives….depending on the manufacturer and brand of course.🇦🇺🇦🇺

did we glitch back in time to the 70s when people thought yoghurt was weird and needed to be convinced to eat it?

fat free anything is crap. We need fat & its good for us. Maybe not litres of vegetable & inflamatory oils (olive oil is good)
