New vegas story will never be beat, the overall alive connected world and unique npcs and quest choices and so many ways to affect the story even extending to the dlcs, compared to fallout 3 and 4 its soo much more nuanced in its story and made in only 1 year they threw everything at the wall and it all stuck

The thing I love about with the Fallout franchise is how every title except tactics has something to offer FO1 is the best roleplaying wise FO2 is the best of the interplay titles FO3 has the best exploration/map FNV has the story and choices FO4 has the best mods FO76 has the best gameplay in the series
Exactly, personally I cant get into 76 as with online it ruins my immersion to sink into it, someday I might get over it. But I will do that FO5 video next, already have a little idea of what I think the perfect concept will be 👍

You can play this game countless hours for more than 10 years and still find something new. Not to forget the many funny encounters with all kind of crazy people and machines (Big MT).
I think for me, the reason New Vegas is so good compared to the others boils down to a few specific reasons; - The mods: New Vegas has a ton of mods that allow for it to be a game that I can replay over and over, with no two playthroughs to be the same. The mods cover so much missing content and make the game feel as if Obsidian had the amount of development time they deserved. - The DLC: The DLC's of the game compared to FO3 and FO4 are much more detailed in regards to storytelling matters. They tie well into the main plot and give new areas and content that's extremely fun. - The Writing: It's actually good. That's all that needs to be said. - Constant content about New Vegas: People make frequent content about NV compared to 3 & 4 which helps keep the game alive, and therefore keeps my interest. - The lack of ability to play after the game has ended (without mods): Whilst I do use FPGE, I feel as if the game is so frequently replay-able as there's so much detail in individual characters and therefore I must replay every so often to discover new content (which I am able to do 14 years after the games release!?) I think if Obsidian were allowed to build the characters, storyline and factions, etc. for a new fallout game whilst keeping the world building of Bethesda, but more on the lore side of the New Vegas theme (rather than the over-the-top 50's modern retro theme) then a fallout game could be perfect. Really, they just need to focus on having a better engine. The reason newer fallouts suffer is that the dialogue feels clunky and outdated. (FFS I hope they revert to the old dialogue style, with a lack of a voiced protagonist in new games)

Agree with the idea that NV is better than 3 and 4. I didn't start out with 3 or older but with NV from a recommendation from my neighbor. Absolutely loved it and spend around 2k hours going through it multiple times. It sat around not used for seven years then the Fallout TV series came out and that got me wanting to play NV again after a seven year break. Re-installed and did new mod patching for the game compared to seven years ago thanks to the solid modding community of NV. Yeah she will still crash one in awhile but I still think it takes the crown as the best one. I've not had the desire to replay 3 or 4 but NV definitely. Hell if they re did FO NV and left the stories alone to bring the game up to more modern standards in computing and cleaned up the multitude of bugs I'd pay full price for that work and play it through yet again.

Everyone is entitled to there opinions, but there is no way fallout 3 with limited actual choices and consequences for in game actions beats NV, it's a good game for sure but NV shows its plot holes, without NV being created Fallout 3 would shine, Fallout 4 isnt even a RPG, it's a FPS with RPG elements, And actually just saying NV was not my first, fallout 3 was and I held it as a god until NV came out, 3 and 4 lack replayability due to the limited paths you can take, there are paths just very very limited. Your stance on them really is determined by your perspective of them and what you see as right or wrong, I personally am indifferent as I see what they are trying to accomplish but I dont support there ways about getting there. Biggest thing to remember is that history is written by the Victor. So to them the ends justify the means.

I think I've seen all the Fallout new vegas youtube videos in three languages already. Fnv, at this point, has become a cult classic.

New Vegas is the only thing associated with Fallout that I've thoroughly enjoyed.
Fair enough, I just can't get enough of it so I'm okay with the other entries. But New Vegas shows the true potential of these games.

I think for me, the reason New Vegas is so good compared to the others boils down to a few specific reasons;
- The mods: New Vegas has a ton of mods that allow for it to be a game that I can replay over and over, with no two playthroughs to be the same. The mods cover so much missing content and make the game feel as if Obsidian had the amount of development time they deserved.

Haven't play FO2 since launch, but I just started a new play through. Bethesda's FO's are the weakest entries IMO.
