Dear Traci, I’m in Nz so you “drop” on a Monday morning. I have my coffee and watch. You never fail to entrance and educate me. I’m a BIG fan and love what you do, I’ve repurposed for 50 years, not knowing that was what it was - I was doing it out of necessity! Now I know it is an art form. What I love and appreciate is the adaptability of the skills that you demonstrate. Don’t have this? Try that. Don’t want that? Do this maybe. You are influenced by SO many artists, designers, fashions and your own beautiful original thoughts it’s a wonderful amalgam of everything. Your mind must be an amazing and colourful place to live. Thank you for yet another gem of a video. Xxx😊😊😊
VERDADERAMENTE PRECIOSO. QUE TALENTO TIENES. MUCHÍSIMAS GRACIAS POR APORTAR Y REGALARNOS TU EXPERIENCIA Y CONOCIMIENTOS. UN ABRAZO MUY FUERTE CARGADO DE MUCHÍSIMO CARIÑO 😘😘😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗🤗👗👚👗👚🤩😍🤩😍🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🤗🤗🤗🤗
That dress looks beautiful on you. I love plaids; and, I have always loved flannel. I didn't like that wide striped dress; but, now it is very lovable. You did a wonderful job turning a loud striped dress into a one of a kind work of art. Thank you.
Happy New Year Traci! It’s officially been 1 year since I got back into sewing after twice abandoning the dream as a girl! I begged my mother for a sewing kit to be just like my grandmother. She passed that year. I reignited the dream in high school when I had a great teacher but becoming a “fashion designer” got buried with practicality and detracted by boys (teenagers sigh) Today at 39 years old, I’ve taught myself to sew (again) thanks to you Traci and many hours of errors! I’ve worn my upcycled creations (art teacher chic) and have more confident than I have in years! Despite the “new” body I have now that I’ve had my babies. So anyways- thanks Traci for EVERYTHING! Keep going! I’m a subscriber for life. ❤❤❤
Beautiful tribute to sewing later in life. Im with you on that. Fashion design school seemed the wrong choice for me so I kept sewing using patterns like my Nana Lavoie showed me when I was 10. Then the 1970s changed it all with restyled jeans and upcycling took off ever since. Im a subscriber for life too! Robin in NC
This is going to be my first project of the year…. I have been trying to figure out what to make with my deceased husband’s flannel shirts and some of my new flannel stash…I had been doing shopping therapy with my 92 yr old mother at all her favorite resale shops … this dress is just IT! Wearing hubbies shirt wrapped in comforting memories… in a style I can wear… Thank you Traci…for all your videos for the past few years .. your ideas, creativity and your presentations has helped me out of a really dark time … I promise in one months time from this date I will post a picture, or maybe a short video on RUclips or Facebook with a shoutout to you of my version of your dress you have inspired me to make..🩷🩷love from Arkansas 🌸🌸
Cute! I think I would’ve left the plainer. I wasn’t crazy about the party on at the top and at the bottom.L O L however, that’s the beauty of what you do! We can follow your design and tweak it to what we prefer and to enhance your body type. Really enjoy your designs!
Perfect timing! My husband just cleaned out his side of the closet ... and theres a few shirts I don't want to donate because they are WELL worn lol. Theres a couple sweaters i keep looking at, it could work for a base for something similar to this... the off the shoulder look is so cute! ♥
Love the dress. You are awsome in creating the most beautiful dresses, and without a pattern. That's what I call Art!, i will always watch your videos, to see what you have in mind in sewing,.
This is gorgeous! I love your original ideas here. OMG I HAVE THE BOOTS HA! Right now they are in need of repair. Last time I wore them I was disco dancing at a local vintage store in Winston-Salem NC. My friend owns the store and we had the place to ourselves so I cranked up some Donna Summer. THEN MY BOOTS BROKE HA! The platform cracked across the instep and fell off! The funny part is I didnt even know it and kept dancing OMG. Then later I looked at the floor and there were the remains of what fell off. I must figure out how to salvage them. Meanwhile this memory is emblazened in my mind. The owner of the store passed away before Christmas. God bless everyone. Now lets find the joy of living and creating amen.
I had to laugh when I saw your thumbnail- several years ago my daughter sent me a picture of that dress and asked me to duplicate it, but she wanted it in a knit! So I found a pattern, ordered some fabric and she was pleased. Still a favorite dress with her. I like your rendition!
Tracy, it's been a year since I first saw your video. A couple of weeks ago I sold the first pair of jeans I decorated. It wasn't expensive, but still. Thank you for the inspiration and teaching.
Love, lovem love this! I first wondered how you got so much of the same fabric to make this. All the fabrics blend and match perfectly! The style is so nice and love the way you accessorized it. You look beautiful!
i love it! wish I had one to wear. i have an old flannel plaid shirt, like so many old pieces of clothing. can't let it go, just love it so much. love the red plaid, have no recollection the name of the family/pattern but it's a very popular one. i love the fabric, love the fit, love the way they used snaps, the shape of the pockets, just everything. it was made so well. i got it when it was already old and worn out too, its not like i was even the person who wore it out, so i dont have many sentimental memories of wearing it, and yet i find it imposible to let go because it used to be such a perfect thing. i love my favorite plaids, in heavy cotton flannel. some of us have valid reasons for being materialistic, since material does matter after all! i love your dress, love all the plaids together, and how light and worn fabric is good enough for ruffles! it looks so pretty on you like everything you make, and because you are so pretty too.
I would love to see a you do video (or more) just on restyling tee shirts (long and short sleeves) and sweatshirts that are crew neck, hoodies, cropped and made tunic style. I need some cute casual clothes and I’m just not finding them. Us older gals need some fun clothes that hide our tummies and muffin tops! 😊💕 I love a little bit of Boho. That was my style back in the day. I just need it toned down for a mid sixties gal.
I love this so much. You are such an inspiration and the greatest teacher. You get right to the point without leaving anything out. Love the top you were wearing ( I remember it from your thrifting video) thank you for another great tutorial !
I love clothes that kinda "dance with me when I move", as Liza Minelli has said. This fits the bill. I love the rows of ruffles in the back of the skirt. I have a bunch of bandanas in all colors I've been thinking about turning into a summery dress of some sort, keeping the bandanas as intact as possible.
-Hi Traci what a beautiful dress, I bet it's so warm. I love love it! Thank you for showing us how to do all these things, I so appreciate your knowledge and experience. And of course it looks amazing on you! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
It turned out awesome🤩 love the style and the colours ! Also the Hat, bag and boots... You look Gorgious in al tree outfits😃 😍🎉 Thanks sgsin for this awesome tutorial 👍👍👍👍👍
I look forward to Sundays to watch your videos! I watched the last one where you thrifted all the flannel and was excited to see what you would come up with! I love your style! You are so creative!
That dress looks so amazing on you - another great upcycling adventure packed full of tips and creativity - love your work and how you fearlessly cut a dress and completely change its design - here in Australia I look forward to each new video you produce - you bring me such joy!
Very cute Traci, you always come up with very creative ideas. No one would ever guess that these flannels had a past life as men’s pajama pants! I look forward to your videos on Sundays.
Hi sister Tracy 🥰 Today I have sorted my tshirts and sweats in my cabinet. I have a lot and I upcycled older. And I have the same idea than you, to make a dress. All that's left, is to find fabrics and idea to upcycled it. Your dress are beautiful ! I like it very much, especially with flannel fabric ❤❤
Amazing! Love love love! Totally my vibe, girl you have so much creative power and talent I love it!!! Thank you so so much for sharing and inspiring us!

Dear Traci, SO very cute! I'm obsessed with flannel now and love every tutorial on flannel that you have done. Would you consider a tutorial making a flannel duster using a flannel robe for the base?
Love this. I love upcycling and you give us sooooo many cute and wonderful ideas. Thank you for the content and I will always support your channel. You are AWESOME! Blessings to YOU! ♥♥♥
Traci, another hit!! You help so many of us get our creative juices from you. What do people say to you when you wear these out? I know I would (and have) say something complimentary to the wearer of these!

It so cute. I've been collecting flannel sheets from the thrift store for something like this.
Sheets are perfect!🥰💕💕💕
I have also. But have used a few to make flannel gowns. I live in Tennessee and flannel feels so good this time of year to keep warm.
Love ❤️ you inspire me to let loose and be creative. Not matchy matchy. Thank you!
I love that!🥰💞💞💞💞
Me too. She has really inspired me.
