These samples make my mom's old PC including PC speakers sound like I've practically got real studio grand pianos in the room...can't imagine how great I could sound with a sustain pedal better speakers and a better pc
I've got studio quality speakers and it sounds so so too my ears. Sustain pedal and PC hardware has nothing to do with sound quality. You need quality D/A converters in addition to quality speakers. Also you need a quality keyboard because simple springy keyboards will not allow to play subtle nuances of music. A guy in video uses Kawai MP11 (€2200 new, ruclips.net/video/x6iZh0qySzk/видео.html). Also, you need low latency PC audio interface to play sounds in real time. So you better stick with this one ruclips.net/video/vz8qBEVNq3s/видео.html :).
I recently bought the Ivory II American Model D, my first Ivory II piano and I am amazed at how instantly it loads compared to my Garritan CFX which takes almost 2 minutes to load before I can play it. I don't know how the Ivory II can load so quickly being such a large library.
How is this different than the Grand pianos package that comes with 3 pianos? Is the studios better for personal non live playing or something? Which package has the best sound and features?
9+ foot grand pianos (like the 3 in the package you mention) generally have a vastly different timbre to 7 foot pianos (like the studio grands), especially in the bass. Some people swear by concert grands and will say that the bass on shorter pianos is always worse. Some people prefer the "character" of a shorter grand piano. You really have to listen and make up your own opinion on which kind of grand piano sounds best to you.
Hi, Mike! Thanks for your interest. Sorry, but plug-ins like this one don't run on iOS. You would have to use a device running Mac OSX or Windows for this to work. However, you would certainly be able to use the P-125 as a USB-MIDI controller for this software. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions! Actually, you can now buy a Synthogy Ivory piano module that operates within Korg Module for iOS. Korg Module is $40 and the Ivory add on is $30. So for like $70, you can get an Ivory app for your iPad. It's not an EXACT replica of the MAC OS version, and it doesn't have anywhere near the editing capability. But it's a very nice piano module and it sounds great. And it's actually much cheaper if you want to go the iOS route.
Good morning; I wanted to ask a question: for this Ivory software it is enough to connect it to the computer without using the sound card? Or is it necessary? Thanks for the attention. Good bye.
Hello, Renato! You don’t necessarily need an external sound card in order to use this software. If you do not have one, audio will simply play back through your computer’s built in sound card and either come out of the computer’s speakers or headphone jack. Thanks for the interest! Cody Kraus, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1766, cody_kraus@sweetwater.com
I wonder what kind of speaker/amplifier will deliver the best sound for this? I guess there is no point in using the best sound processor if the speaker is no good.
Hey, Edwar. Thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can use this in FL Studio 20 as a VST. You just need to be on a 64-bit system and Mac OS 10.8/Windows 7 or later, which you should already have if you're using FL Studio 20. If you have any other questions, let me know! Hi, Rahul! Ivory II is going to be software that runs on your computer. The sounds will be generated within the computer and come out your PC speakers or other audio peripheral you might have assigned as your computer's audio output. Your piano would just control what notes the software plays via the MIDI I/O. If you have any other questions on getting this set up with your system, feel free to give us a call! Hello, I have three questions, please your advice :-) I have a Casio Privia PX780 and I have bought a midi cable for connect my piano and my pc. 1) Do I need an audio interface like an UR22 for example, in order to reproduce this amazing sound in real time or my midi cable will be enough? 2) Is your music recorded in real time in an SSD automatically or do you need any additional hardware or software to record it? Which would be the recommended size of an SSD to use ivory ii? 2) Do I need a DAW like Cubase, for instance to run the Ivory ii or the Ivory ii itself works as an standalone software? Thank you in advance for your help guys :-)
1) You can work around an audio interface, however, I wouldn't recommend it. 2) You will need to record the sound in a DAW. 3) Yes, as far as I know, Ivory doesn't run in standalone.
It's because he is a pianist. For a piano product, Sweetwater needs a pianist who can (learn to) talk (well enough), and not somebody who can talk (well enough) who can (learn to) play the piano (well enough). It's simply because it needs way longer time and training to learn the piano at this level than learn to talk at this level. He talk nicely and clearly (maybe he was a bit excited so that's why there are a few mistakes like he said: "pianos" and then he immediately tried to correct it by saying "beautiful pianos" immediately after that, but he just pointed out his mistake with that, they could just re-record or maybe cut that part if they wanted to, but they didn't so probably they didn't care that much, it was good enough, clear talking, easy to understand, it's a talking job well done, and playing that piano exceptionally well done.)
you can take a look at the Garritan CFX, it's the best imho. but there are many competitors, and the CFX is very ressource heavy. The American D from Synthogy sounds great as well. just listen through it all and think about what you want and maybe get a trial at a local store
not surprised it sounds biased.. the guy doing the demo is the product specialist for synthogy. .end of the day, depends on what your ears like, and how it plays.
DO NOT BUY!! Not working properly and support just shreds their shoulders and blame your PC HW, config or the DAW you are using...... Not impressed, money not well spent
Fantastic playing by *Geoff Gee* !
That bass note... glorious! (1:49)
Excellent demo and review!
I bet this guy can tell you the ins and outs of this software.. He seems intense.. I like how he gets into this software..
Excellent review, thanks and compliments
Nice video! Keep it up!

I'm having trouble deciding whether I want to give American D another chance or get the studio grands.
I can hardly wait to do a review of this...
Have you purchased it yet? I'm considering buying it but need to see more user reviews first.
Billy Joel uses these samples live with a digital piano in a basically empty case made by 'Long Island Piano'
What keyboard is he playing though, controller, kurzwei,Yamaha,?
@@robertmichalscheck3072 Billy Joel uses the VPC1 for live performances

What is the keyboard he playing ? Kawai ?
hey, ya, it's definitely an MP10 or MP11 (which I have)
Wow, the sound is awesome and so realistic 👍👍What Midi Keyboard controller you used in this video? Warm regards🤤
Hello what is your audiointerface ?
on my yamaha montage Audio Interface with macbook pro and ivory the Sound is realy not good !
Can you adjust individual note velocities with synthogy ivory 2?
WHY ?!?!?!?
You had me at hello.
Excellent video and lovely playing! What are you using for a controller keyboard?

wonderful ! which is the keyboard used in this video ?
kawai mp11
if i use ivory 2 on lowest model of keyboard still the same?
Yes.
It depends on the sensitivity of your piano. You may nit be able to do soft playing like a more expensive keyboard.
How does this compare to The Grand by Steinberg?
that for a hardware piano?
Would I be able to use this program with an IPad Pro (512 GB) and a Yamaha P-125?

what keyboard is he using?

thank you:)
The sound is not clear enough.
You can never understand how a VST sounds, on youtube.
I prefer Acoustica Pianissimo for one sixth of the price!
How is it compared to addictive keys? 🤔
I hear on my recording studio with professional loudspeakers and it´s fine. You can´t hear on the notebook and compare.
keyscape sounds so much better
Yes but velocities are not that great on the keyspace. I own both. I can tell the ivory has a great touch.
Don't they all sound the same?
Depends on what your using to listen. Also youtube does compress audio.
