- The deer rut comes around once a year and it's one of the most special times of year and certainly a favourite for wildlife photographers like myself. This year I wanted to photograph the rut in the wild so I took my tent and spent three nights in the forest, it didn't disappoint...

Thank you and glad you enjoyed it! I hadn’t realised there was poaching going on but I definitely want to keep locations as secret as possible for the benefit of the wildlife, places get busy so quickly when locations are shared on social media which is always a shame!

@@wildlifewitholly Also how did you charge all your stuff if you didnt take a car as well, always puts me off camping with camera gear.
@@samuelhornemedia yeah it’s tricky, I have three batteries and borrowed another and then I had a massive power bank and also one smaller one so I managed about four or five full phone charges and two full battery charges using a dual USB charging station so four batteries recharged in total! Don’t think I could’ve done another night without running out of battery
@@wildlifewitholly Yeah I've seen some of those huge battery banks which look like car batteries 😂, I think I'd need to invest in them before I do any photography camping. Sounds like you got it planned out well to be fair!
