Solid black has been good for us with a black head in Alabama this winter when the river has had the most stain ..but I still scratch my head cause the river has the small black or dark pieces of leaves constantly moving with the current but they know the difference btw the trash and the bait
Thanks Brad, good info. I live in Florida and we only have Black Crappie and Stained water. Not muddy or dirty, but stained maybe 1 foot visibility. Would like to see a show about Black Crappie behavior versus White Crappie behavior. 👍
In southeast Michigan most of the lakes are now infested with zebra mussels. It has cleared the water tremendously, the bluegills have increased in number and size. Crappie have changed also, I used to catch white and black crappie, I haven’t caught a white in years they slowly diminished to non at all. The black are still there but deeper, all I use now is white and minnow colors with glitter if sunny
It's really hard for me to change colors when I'm already catching fish because the "bite window" seems to be such a small amount of time! - - - - - - I never have caught fish for more than a one hour or so span of time. Maybe it's just me¿
Coosa river stays muddy alot unless it's not rained in 2 weeks bone white and chartreuse black and chartruse monkey milk and chartreuse will catch them everytime on the coosa even gold is a good color
Thanks for a great and interesting pod cast!

What depths do y’all define muddy vs clear water
2’ and more would be clear in my home lake. It varies lake to lake
I watched a video and one guy said it did not matter It is very confusing
I believe it matters depending on how for a fish will come to get a bait. Color doesn’t matter if your putting the jig extremely close to fish’s mouth
HOLLA........ THUMBS-UP!!!;
