I have the same one. It washes up nicely and I would feel comfortable driving up to the most upscale places with it. Clean it using the ChrisFix 'super clean your car' method. Mine has almost 300K miles.
Mine was driven through the mountains 3-4 times a year for camping for 7 years straight, and it's still chugging along. Great bang for your buck. Cheap to maintain, and comfortable ride. Purchase one confidently.

I just bought a used 2007 RX350 and it's legit the best vehicle I've ever owned and possibly driven. $3,200. 1 family owned. It's so smooth in every aspect. I would trust it anywhere. Was thinking about taking it into the mountains and wanted to see what it might be capable of. This is beyond what I would push it so thank you for posting this lol.
Made me feel a lot better about the condition of my '01 model. Same white color, but, from what I've come to realize, the interior has held up really well through the years. Ended up here after watching crash test footage because I was curious to see how my old grandma car would fare in a crash. Mine also has a wheel with wood and leather accents, which I thought was standard, but I guess must be an extra feature for a lil more money. These babies were about $37,000 when they came out, something around $65,000 in today's money. You can tell they're built for luxury. Both front seats electric(and heated), that screen up front that even newer cars didn't get. My brother has an '07 Dodge Caliber, and it's nowhere near as fancy (or comfy, scratchy seats imo) as the Lexus. Glad I got the 4 wheel drive model, the extra power to the wheels suits my "hurry up and get to speed" kinda driving. Neat to know it can do this stuff, but I don't think I could do that to Lexi (my car lmao).

I have seen some complaints about transmission. Under warranty when it was new. They read did the transmission seal but that was it. Any issues with yours?
It did have some transmission issues shortly before I made this video. That is one of the reasons he finally decided to get rid of it. This was its last hooray before it went to the scrap yard.

Philip Taylor I’ve got one sitting at 206,000 miles. It’s never gotten stuck, and my buddy’s Land Rover can’t follow it hardly anywhere without getting stuck. I’m totally confident that pulling the bumpers off and throwing 3” and some knobbies in it will make it a great overlander.
Yeah there's a few body lift and tire packages that work well... another thing some guys are having success with is using 2011 Toyota oem Highlander shocks and struts as replacements. The RX is lighter than the 2011 Highlander so it be a slightly rougher ride but it'll give you a few more inches of body and ground clearance for more spirited off-roading! 👍
i bough a 2003 rx300 with 117000 miles on it for 4500, had a water leak that turned into an electrical nightmare, still fixed it tho because its a BEAST, the drive shaft bolts and collar came loose the other day, sounded like someone banging a hammer in the back, the collar broke and 3 nuts are missing, I ighened the other 4 with an fallen wrench and she runs perfect, I will get he new bolts this weekend and collar but the fact I still goes no no problem is amazing, great car all round, shitty gas mileage tho, real shiity
Common issue with these cars are the transmissions going out if the fluid isn’t changed every 100k. Fairly expensive as most units are about. 3k used not including labor. I used to have a 99 RX300 and besides the transmission the power door lock actuators are a common issue. Other than that it ran fine for being 13 years old and 150k miles.
It is a cross-over. Also, in the comments it was mentioned the transmission fails if the t-oil is not changed every 100k! Usually you have to change it every 60000kms (40k miles) even in cars that claim they have lifetime t-oil! I know of BMWs, Audis and Mercedes cars having to replace the transmission because of not changing the transmission oil/ fluid.

Snow Mode just starts the car in 2nd gear, and Power mode just adjusts the shift points.

They do make some lift kits for it and a more aggressive wheel/tire package would help.
But lexus made it just right. Stock with a different wheel package would be nice.

It is a beast! I had a Sienna with the same engine and the fuel economy was sub par as well. Much better went they went to the 3.5L

This particular car wasn't really designed to go off road. We were really abusing it because it was going to the junk yard.
