One of my top questions is how many fabrics do I need for a fashion collection? The answer is not one size fits all. Today we are studying Greta Constantine, Bianca Saunders, Callas Milano, and Harris Reed to learn about fabric usage in a fashion collection.

Excellent video Zoe Hong! Yes, far too many times new Designers go crazy with Fabrics ending in an all over the place Collection. Thank you for the break down of these smaller collections, again we are living in great times with access to videos/informations like the one you create in your channel.

I use mainly 3 ..
The main.. pattern
The theme , type of fabric
The tone. . Color.
For an example. Polkadot, suede, and black (collar, sleeves , pockets etc. .)
Or just go the Valentino way bet on black 😂

for new designers when you start off be small but do your research on quality of textile that'll be your strength

I haven't finished watching it yet but the first collection (Greta Constantine) on your screen is also a fantastic representation of using color theory and balancing the color story throughout the collection. ... ok i'll keep watching now lol. I love fabric but did get out of control. Lately I bring my pattern pieces to the fabric shop and lay them out so I get only what I need.
