This is an important step when making changes in the vehicle settings of your Z-Automotive TaZer menu.
Performing a full reboot and two sleep cycles will not only help recalibrate sensors but is critical to make sure settings might save.
Also, if the reboot and two sleep cycles is not performed correctly, you
may find that the dash doesn’t shut down, which can result in a dead battery.
The full written walkthrough of the process:
EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU MAKE CHANGES IN THE “VEHICLE SETTINGS”
(ENGINE OFF) MENU OR UNMARRY, YOU MUST PERFORM A FULL REBOOT AND TWO SLEEP CYCLES.
• After making all of your changes, scroll to “full reboot?” and select it.
• Wait for the countdown, then perform two sleep cycles.
• The quickest way to do two sleep cycles is to turn the ignition off, open and
close the driver’s door and wait about 60 seconds AFTER the dash goes dark, then turn the ignition on (but not the engine) and repeat once more.

This video was very helpful. I have had a Mini JL for about a year now and my Live settings for brake light strobe and triple honk just stopped working. Running through this reboot and 2 sleep cycles fixed it. Thanks
Perfect so happy to hear that this video was helpful to you. Generally if there’s an issue, unmarrying, doing a full reboot and two sleep cycle will fix things… just make sure you have all previous changes written down somewhere so you know what to change back once it resets back to stock
So a lot of the Jeep/Truck guys in rural areas like to trigger some ditch lights off the high beams. Right now that means adding a relay to the highs. Wonder if there would be a way to make the Tazer add a high beam trigger to the programmable Mopar auxiliary switches? They already have other programmable features, maybe it might be possible to add some code that says something like "IF hi beams = ON THAN aux switch X = ON"? That would be perfect. You could simply wire the lights to one of the aux switches, and set that switch in the Tazer to turn on with the high beams.
Any news on the amber drl option on the 21+ Durango?

So I have a jeep JL sport and bought the rubicon fender flares with led turn signals , So I just bought the tazer JL mini just to make them work I also corrected the tire size and that’s it my question is can I now disconnect the tazer JL mini and reconnect the cables back to the security gateway connector with my changes being saved?
Yes for vehicle settings you can then remove the Tazer and have those customization settings saved.

How do you do the 2 sleep cycles on a Jeep Wrangler JL if you are running soft doors? With these guys on instead of the hard doors, nothing happens with the lights, dash, etc when they’re open and closed.
They will eventually turn off just takes longer without the doors on

What do you do if after the car is turned off the evic light remains on… only fix so far is removing the tazer entirely.
Also the 2k idle feature doesn’t seem to work. Cant find a video on it either
It sounds like you're talking about Winch Mode and that only works in the Durango and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
If the evic stays on, most likely a reboot and two sleep cycles needs to be performed.

I'm not sure what happened, but now my amber DRL on my challenger wont go on. they stay white. I have the box checked on the radio & followed the steps. I tried different settings like turn, SRT, dedicated, none, etc.
The Challenger doesn’t work the same as the TRX as far as the Amber DRLs work. The car defaults to turning off the DRLs when the headlights are on. May be something that could be suggested, but that’s not currently supported in the standard TaZer. Add it to the feature request page - bottom of the main page on our website
I did exactly what this video shows with regards to my DRL lights, set DRL Lock to Turn and did full reboot with 2 sleep cycles exactly as shown in this video and yet nothing happens no change. My 392 is a 2023 model, maybe this is the issue?

I have a Jeep JL and my tazer is married to it. All the sudden my instrument cluster has gone blank so I can't see the portion on the THT screen to navigate thru the radio option and the other choices until you get to "unmarry". Is there another way to a un marry the tazer for somebody who can't see anything in the u=instrument cluster other than the blinking red security light? Thank you.

Put jl mini on 2024 rubicon 392 for 1 day and got U0168 code so took it off. Does it need firmware update?
Yes, the firmware update was literally just released last week

That was a file the boss downloaded years ago. Found it somewhere online and had to download it via usb stick

So I noticed that my speed O was off and when I tried to go into the menu it wouldn’t work. Pulled the tazer out of my Jeep and plugged it into my computer. Got it updated to the latest and greatest. Plugged it back into my Jeep and it would go straight to Updating…. Had a text conversation with someone at your tech support that said to do the recovery. I did that and now it went through 3 menu option but stopped at Unmarry and then went to Updating…. I paid too much for this thing for it not to work. Please help!
Also, just held the left arrow and pressed the cancel button multiple times and “Not Vin XXX” but it is in the vehicle that it is married to with the correct VIN.

I have a charger and I did all the reboots and my radio stuck on blue Uconnect it won’t go back to the Siriusxm
I believe there’s a way to reset the Uconnect radio, but not sure what it is exactly. Reach out to our support staff and they should be able to help you - email support@zautotech.com

So each time you upgrade firmware on the Tazer, do you have to go back and put back in all of your saved settings, like TPMS reset, 3 honk kill, etc?
No, because you don't need to unmarry the Tazer before doing a firmware update, you can just unplug and update
im having a weird issue with my new Tazer for my 2022 Dodge Durango RT. for some reason my Sport mode button seem to activate the lights? how do I get ride of that I don't want the light show stuff I just want this for the pin security features.

@@zautomotive yeah I stumbled across a video and thought wait that looks like my issue but on a earlier model so 12am I’m out there and sure enough it worked. I was so relived now I am kinda curious what live option and that work for the RT Durango I know a lot is referred to challengers and chargers in the manual. Also I notice I can start the vehicle and then I have to enter the pin is there a way to have to enter the pin first before it will start? Thank you for your previous response.

@@zautomotive no what I mean is. Is there a way even if the fob is In the vehicle that can prevent the vehicle to start until you enter the pin? Mine will start but then give me the pin count down? And if I disarm the vehicle with the fob I’m not even asked for a pin which worries me with thrives breaking In and taking fobs.

@@Shaker392 I thought you were trying to turn the performance pages ON with the TaZer? But yes, set performance pages and set Drive modes are two different options on the TaZer

2015-present Chargers, Challengers, and Chrysler 300s will get the added performance pages and extra gauges to the EVIC screen

@@zautomotive no I married it after doing it 3 times I unmarried then married again. Light show works. No pages or anything else tho? I’m the 3rd owner of the car maybe the last owner had a taser and didn’t unmarry it when he traded out? Please help.

I'm sure this has been said a million times before but it would be nice if you could toggle settings in an app on your phone via bluetooth. I'd pay extra for that for sure.
