Picked one up last month, ran it 600 rounds, then the trigger safety/trigger shoe pin literally fell out whilst cleaning it that night. I had to smoother it in Vibra-TITE just to hold (knurling was done for). That's when I discovered Bul Armory's warranty department is a bit of a joke. 2 dudes on Miami that don't respond half the time, wanted the entire pistol back for roughly 60 days. I'll pass on their nicer offerings because of that experience. Ironically enough, they must have used my dinosaur juice on your pistola. Mine came out of the bag dry as a bone. Overall, it's a heck of a platform for the cost. Even with a light mounted, it still feels lighter than it should for some reason. Stupid DS 1911/2011s have ruined me. As always, great review!
I have nearly 1k through my Springfield DS1911 in the past month, and honestly, I think I might just go to CZ and have a good time with their guns. PS. My Springfield was picked up for cheap, so I spent money to have tool steel parts installed and the trigger set at 3lbs (pulls at 2.5-2.6lbs now) and that bumped the price to what they were going for when they were new 1500~.
In your shooting string at 8:25.......The pistol almost failed to cycle the slide closed twice. The slide stopped just short of Battery......then finally fell into Battery.
Just picked one of these up and it is amazing!!! Super loud, but recoil is like a 22LR. Also accurate and fast. Love this pistol and now waiting to pick up the compact version.
Half the normal 9 mm recoil for a reason. The whole barrel is ported so milded out 9 mm. Something like shooting .44 special from .44 Remington Magnum revolver.
My son and I bought two hatchets. One full size and one compact. They sent two full size. Called Miami the guy was a clown. He was surprised we wanted to exchange it for the right one. Took like two weeks and no apology. Theguns came with no magazines, said we live in a restricted state, we were never told this. 800 rounds in the trigger safety fell out of my full size. Would have been a long time to get it warrantied, so i just put a trigger in it. The gun wont run 124 or 147 gr ammo. Tons of failures to go into battery. My sons compact the big frame pin backed out at a plate shoot. Good thing we caught it before fell on the ground. I just shelved mine and bought a gen 5 Glock 34. Put a ramm tactical trigger in it. Runs anything I put through it. Glock is the the original for a reason, it runs. Never had a problem with my 43x with 2800 rounds through it. Dont let so called uogrades fool you. What good is an unreliable gun!
Hi David, just wanted to show some appreciation for your videos, I find myself always going back to your videos before I purchase a pistol (literally just watched the X5 legion video) and they always help me make a decision, so thank you again

I just purchased the non ported version, hopefully Bul armory will start to sell just the ported barrel for us who weren't fortunate enough to get the ported version.
That trigger kinda reminds me of the timney trigger for glocks. Timney also continues to move back when you rack the slide. Like you said tho you dont realize it during live fire only when your staring at it for trigger reset dry fire.
I have the tomahawk on the IWA Show in my hand and was very impressed about the quality and the trigger. I don't like Glock, but this was a game changer for me.
Had an FS Hatchet. After a 1000 rounds the trigger safety dongle fell off. Now, between 5 and 6k rounds, the frame has cracked. It still seems functional but, really? I'm sending it back. Bul sent me a label so CS has been ok so far.
The sights actually have a black protective film over them from the factory. Use can use a needle to remove the film and there are white dots indeed on the factory sights.
I got notified they were in stock last month. I was surprised they stayed in stock for a number of weeks….but when they’re gone there is usually a significant wait for restock.
I'm looking to get one of these in compact size for the edc rotation. The more i mess around with comps & ports, the less likely I am to get a standard barrel alone anymore.... I can't wait to try the Langdon PX4 Storm "cheater gun" with the Vantage slide comp when i get back home. Ports & comps ftw imo. 🎉
I really like that offering...but for me, I would prefer a comp that goes on the end (old school) for the reason you not of the optics fogging up... Just give me a threaded barrel and I'll make the decision to comp or no comp. Very good job BUL.
i have a Cleaver that I made into a prior genTomahawk sans red dot. These IMO are the best Glock clone for the money. I chose the Bul over the Shadow Systems. And since the Cleaver was like $300 cheaper, it went to the gunsmith for window cuts, cerakote and some wacky match grade barrel with a funny spelling. My trigger is between 3.5 and under 4.Stock. And I'm pretty sure it's ergal..It's a tasty lil clone..

Are we going to ignore the elephant in the room? The porting makes this an Open division gun. Would this be competitive in that situation? With porting quickly becoming as common as an optics mount, how long before USPSA has to create a striker fired with ports division?
The company ships them directly out of Miami. Have no idea about warranty procedures. I have four of their pistols and haven't had any issues. Aside from vehicles, I've never used a warranty but obviously YMMV.
It's just a gun... not a vehicle or a home. How often would you ever contact the customer service of a gun company or use the warranty? That sounds like unnecessary stress compared to just moving on to the next gun.
Bul Armory quality is second to none in any class it’s in. My Bul 1911 is 97% of my Dan Wesson Specialist and that’s due to mim parts and there’s a $1300 price difference.
How much velocity is lost to the porting along all that length? How is it different to those factory porty that they used to make? Is anyone replicating those? If there is it'd make for an interesting comparison.

@@TheHumbleMarksman There's an idea for a video! 4.25, 5, comp/ported? Just a thought! Love the videos!
Have you tried the Spartan clear clean thing on any optics? If it works, could be good for keeping optics clear on guns like this
I will give it a shot on this one
How do farmers count their cows?
With a cowculator.
Solid
I wonder how well ports like this reduces recoil compared to something like a comp on the Staccato XC
I have done a couple videos comparing ported guns to the XC
@@TheHumbleMarksman Oh nice. Going to go check em out
Title reminds me of the ending of, "the last boyscout" ..
I was going for the Ricky Bobby - but that works too.
This or the shadow systems xr920p, or canik tti.... thoughts?
Also, why did the Momma vegetable name her two sons Gus and gus?
If one got eaten, she would have A-spare-Gus....
Sorry
Heart for the joke - I will do a video on the comps in a bit
@@TheHumbleMarksman that was a home cooked one haha! And nice
if you were to chose...CZ Shadow compact or Bul Armory Axe FS tomahawk?
I mean for what? Neither of those guns would be my pick for carry - S2 is pretty porky - the Bul grip is really aggressive.
I don't mind the 47, hated my 17 though. Just don't like GLOCKS since they're the Kleenex and QTips of the gun world.
Does anyone know if a tier 1 glock 17 gen 5 holster will fit the 2022 model tomahawk??
Does my local gun shop has it or if not could I get it purchased for me 😎 .
Are we going to ignore the elephant in the room? The porting makes this an Open division gun. Would this be competitive in that situation? With porting quickly becoming as common as an optics mount, how long before USPSA has to create a striker fired with ports division?
in IDPA porting is allowed - but this isn't an IPSC/USPSA gun for sure.
UPC code? I can't find this for sale on the internet. (Which is wildly surprising)
Go to Bul Armory’s USA website
And sign up to be notified when they are in stock
@@TheHumbleMarksman Thank you sir.
No review for new swampfox big window optic?
It’s coming
Still subscribed! : )
Is spawl a concern when it comes to ports like this?
Potentially - I didn’t have any issue with the ammo I tried
What holsters work for this
Is a ported barrel USPSA legal in carry optics class?
No
They stay sold out. I'm hoping to get one soon though
Made in Isreal "jewish Glock17" makes sense on the pricing and components im in love with the slide
Too bad you can’t buy them in Massachusetts 😢
👎
1 year warranty and iffy customer service drives me away from buying from them
Do they even have a US base to send in guns for repair? Or who imports them?
The company ships them directly out of Miami. Have no idea about warranty procedures.
I have four of their pistols and haven't had any issues. Aside from vehicles, I've never used a warranty but obviously YMMV.
It's just a gun... not a vehicle or a home. How often would you ever contact the customer service of a gun company or use the warranty? That sounds like unnecessary stress compared to just moving on to the next gun.
Bruh they are Jews what do you expect. 😂
That’s answered in the video - at least this models velocity loss
About 6%

I watched the video but had to fidget with something and missed it. Thanks.

Darn, I missed it while watching the whole thing. Thanks.
