- A teacher from Marlboro Township, New Jersey is accused of doing something inappropriate in the hallway of a school. Jenna Sciabica had worked at Marlboro Memorial Middle School. The student's mother blasted the school board at a recent meeting. Sciabica has denied the allegation through her attorney. People need to understand there are boundaries. I wouldn't invite a teacher to my house. And I won't let my kids go to a teachers house either. I don't know why people cross boundaries.

@@trailrunner925 there is evidence and nobody resigns if they're innocent. Only the guilty do that. If she truly did nothing wrong she should stay in her job and fight it in court. Also, the victims mother wouldn't be acting as upset as she is if it was not the truth. She clearly has seen the video evidence and I doubt it was a simple arm stroke from the perpetrator.
Her having a relationship with the family of the girl is a red flag for me, honestly. And just because she hasn't been charged with worse doesn't mean she won't be.

If the police investigated for a month and only charged her with harassment obviously shows there’s nothing there. If the investigation showed more than that, the teacher would of be charged.

I'm disappointed with the guests comments. The schools lawyer literally said that there was no indication that the teacher would have treated the student as inappropriately and abusively as she did. Y'all didn't even elaborate on that. Also, why was the parent arrested? Surely not for defending her child or for using her First Ameny.

The school board speaker clearly said the video exists & was evident enough they reported her to the state board. So, I really wonder what (other than the accused own denial - bc that never happens 🙄) made her jump straight to the defense of the accused perp & not a child?! Teaching basically drove out the quality teachers, then the pandemic made the few left find other jobs, and now schools are so desperate they will hire anyone. Teaching pays little, the benefits suck, and I could go on. But the conditions are a breeding ground for exploitation.

I’m in Texas, a male high school teacher and football coach was just arrested this week for a relationship with a 17 year old girl. What in the world is up with these losers?????

When they do that is because they see the person is emotional and causing emotion in the audience. They want to interrupt the train of thought on purpose. This wasn’t a back and forward, it was pre-set for her to talk 6 minutes and the time is in the screen. There is no other reason for him to interrupt, but to break the effect she had there. I’m happy she had the perfect response.

Publish the lawyers letter to the parents. If it’s true as to how the mother described it ,that lawyer would have a future as a politician.
I don’t understand. If this teacher hasn’t been charged, arrested or indicted that means that police haven’t found any laws that were broken. They are still investigating. At this point, she’s only being accused by the parents and the teen. The teacher is denying all allegations. Doesn’t she deserve the benefit of the doubt? Why are people throwing stones already and accusing her as if she’s guilty?

Ok WHAT?!? it seems to me that the attorney for the school confirmed that there was inappropriate touching and abuse in his comment at the end of the video when he was apologizing “..no prior history that would have given the district any indication that she would have conducted herself as inappropriately unprofessionally and ABUSIVELY AS. Homeschool or private is the answer? That’s pretty wild private school is expensive and it is not so simple to homeschool. The school is responsible to keep kids safe. Its like an additional spit in the face for that to be the solution rather than school insuring safety.
There’s video. Of course the criminals will always deny, their crimes. Sounds like she was grooming the girl for three years. Got close to the family, so she could do these gross things. Glad, her mom is holding the school accountable.

The judge will decide, he will decide if she is pretty enough to be let go and not serve any time.
Of course, they shuffle bad actors around instead of firing them - because that's how the teachers' unions structure their contracts. It's almost impossible to fire employees unless they commit murder or show up to class repeatedly under the influence of intoxicants. I spent 32 years as a member of another public employees union and it's exactly the same. I knew a total of 5 employees at all levels in the organization who were removed during those years; 4 for blatant theft and one for repeated substance abuse. 2 of them were in management. Many more in management were demonstrably incompetent and/or overtly harassed/berated subordinates and nothing happened to them except they got transferred to other locations.

Kudos for not convicting her without the evidence. If the teacher is guilty, she deserves to do hard time, but all we have at this point are the allegations. Let the case play out.

I don’t like how they talk about if the teacher is innocent. I’ve watched so many of these teacher molesters on this channel and they haven’t once (to my recollection) talked about this. So why this case? There’s so many red flags here, I highly doubt the teacher is innocent.

It doesn't matter how little she was touched. It was clearly inappropriate. Clear enough for other staff members to see. And inappropriate enough that it made the student very uncomfortable for she felt violated. That's enough and that's all it takes.

We have a policy in our school system to report suspected incidents.
every school does by default because of mandated reporting but unfortunately it isn't always followed and in some places it seems like it never is.

She would not let go of the position that the teacher is innocent... they have video proof AND a witness and from the way the school board talked about it, it seems as though the alleged touching was confirmed. And saying "this case is different because the student or mom could be lying"... isn't that every case? "Innocent until proven guilty"? Even if she wanted to point that out, it could have been a passing comment like "remember that there is a chance that..." rather than her ENTIRE argument/statement/opinion. I feel like this guest's statements really show her character as a person...

We have cameras everywhere in the school where I teach (sans one special needs classroom) and the overwhelming majority of teachers I work with and know are respectable (both in the profession and towards our students). Unfortunately, there are bad apples in every profession and those (the minority) in ours are the worse. However, please put down the paint brushes.

This teacher needs to be arrested, if this is true. But this mom....sheesh. Not sure how she misinterpreted the lawyer's words. It was clear to me when i first heard it that he meant it along the lines of "we all know about what happened, we've reported it to all appropriate outlets, we should definitely make the parents aware of this, as well." Not, "she should have known this teacher would do this."
The teacher won't be held accountable, she is a female, so the abuse is allowed.
