  • After sampling six major wetsuit brands in a Central California field test, we've concluded that nobody comes close to O'Neill when it comes to making flexible, comfortable wetsuits in 2019/2020.
    We tested:
    Psycho Tech 3/2: us.oneill.com/...
    Hyperfreak Comp 4/3: us.oneill.com/...

I brought the O'Neil Hyperfreak 4/3 this winter and the thing feels like a 3/2 and is probably one of the best suit I've ever worn.

After trying a few "top" wetsuit brands, no wetsuit has lasted me more than a year without doing reapirs and filtrations on seams. Then I bought an O'neill psycho one 4/3 in 2017 and it's still in its entirely, using it exlclusively, without leaks and still feels like sufing naked. You can see it's not new by watching some parts really close, but wearing it feels like day one and I can say that cause, a couple oo months ago, I bought the exact same wetsuit just for backup. Still using the 2017 the 80% of the time. So far best wet shit out there for me.

Depends how much you surf. You could've surfed 100 times 1 winter, and 30 times a year for 3 years. Kook McGee from down the road could've had a wetty for 10years but he's only used it 10 times. Its about the times not the time.

i bought a cheap chinese 4/3 wetsuit (triboard, so maybe from france) in 2005 for $100 that lasted me nearly 10 years. i bought a 3/2 o'neill in 2014 and it the inner seams started falling out in 2017, completely ripping open in 2019. granted the chinese suit leaked water inside, but did keep me warmer than the o'neill.

Cheaper wetsuits last longer because the neoprene is less stretchy.

    saludos.

Don’t buy this product, after using 6 times I already had holes on the chest. The O’Neill customer service is terrible, they just don’t care about it. I spend $450 on this thing believing I was buying the best wetsuit. It’s trash after couple weeks. I’ve been using Rip Curl all my life and did the big mistake to spend my money on this crap!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
