Nice review mate, thank you - this exact suit is insanely popular, spent half a day trying to find it and eventually found ONE in a place in Poland, long way from London lol
Appreciate the kind words! That’s what I’ve heard too. I found mine at a small local shop luckily. But I know O’Neill have been having a hard time keeping suits in stock. Not sure if you know but there’s actually been a wetsuit shortage the past year due to a shortage of rubber. Crazy world!
Hey man. Thx for this review. I was thinking of getting this suit myself. I'm also a beginner/intermediate surfer in southern Italy where minimum water temperatures in winter are around 55 F. Do you think this suit would keep me warm for long 2-3h sessions? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey man! Yeah this suit should be perfect for you. I surf in 49 F here in Washington and it keeps me nice and warm the entire time. Also probably worthwhile getting some booties and a hood (I have a removable hood cause I like to have the option of no hood in summer here). 55 F is like the middle of the range for this suit, so you’ll be set. And you’ll love how comfortable it is! Thanks for watching!
Hey! Honestly I have no clue. I will say that I almost went with the comp, but I just felt odd not being able to have a zipper haha, so I went with the front zip. I’m sure they’re same in terms of material and durability.
Can anyone comment on the durability of the Hyperfreak after surfing in it roughly a year, maybe 3-4 times a week? Warmth and comfiness are great but that doesn't mean anything if seams and stitching don't hold up. Thanks!
Yeah I can’t speak to using it that much. I use it probably 1-2 times a month and have had it for over a year now. Still working great and no signs of wearing out, but 3-4 times a week for a year might paint a different picture!
Yeah it definitely is. I got that feedback a few times, so been implementing quieter background music on some of my newer videos. Appreciate the feedback sir!
I’m at least 20 uses in over a year and no leaks. Just as warm as day 1. I actually went with this suit for improved durability because I bought an Xcel suit at first and first use I got a hole in the chest and the seams started unraveling.
Thank you for your nice review - just bought a Hyperfreak 2day!

@@fitzthegreat great! Thx for quick reply and info!
@@davidpowerfns anytime!
Let’s see the rest of the quiver in the gear garage!
What’s up Matt! I did a quick video on it here: ruclips.net/video/HE-O8ctYoHs/видео.html but working on some more reviews of all kinds of stuff!
How would you compare the Hyperfreak 4/3+ to the hyper freak 4/3 comp ziperless? Is there much difference on weight and stretchiness?durability?
Hey! Honestly I have no clue. I will say that I almost went with the comp, but I just felt odd not being able to have a zipper haha, so I went with the front zip. I’m sure they’re same in terms of material and durability.
The no-zips flush more and the string/pull device goes really quickly. Get the zippered one fore sure (I've had both).
Trying to find my size what size did you get?
I went with an XL which is my normal size in most clothing!

Love the music, a bit loud though at some points

Is this suit (4/3) warm (with hoddie and booties) in 50-55º winter water temperature? It holds? or just need to go for a psyco tech?
Yep, I use it in this exact temperature range. In fact, I'm going on Saturday and the water temp is 52 right now. I stay plenty warm!
TY, i appreciate a lot the flexiness, but i dont wanna go cold AF this winter, cheers. Great video BTW!
@@marcoantoniorodriguez5376 you bet! Thank you sir!
yer, nah, have heard many stories about longevity and durability, they literally start leaking after a handfull of uses

Size please 😁
I went with an XL!
Music too loud and distracting mate
I mean, you're not wrong. Nothing I can do about it now haha
More lights please .yo Man🤍
