- This is the parade on Moscow's Red Square devoted to the 59th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, 7 November 1976. This parade would mark the last appearance of Politburo member Nikolai Podgorny, who was Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet at the time. Taking the salute is newly appointed Soviet Defense Minister, Marshal of the Soviet Union Dmitriy Ustinov. Commanding the parade is commander of the Moscow Military District, Colonel General Vladimir Govorov. Music performed by the Combined Orchestra of the Moscow Garrison conducted by Colonel Nikolai Mikhailov (his first parade as chief conductor).

@@BlackCat_codm я знаю как принемали в комсомол. Знаю как жили. Сам стоял за хлебом в очереди. Знаю как жили военные. Но если выбирать ту, духовную страну или эту барыжную, то я выбираю СССР. Кроме этого, хочу добавить, что я пацаном, как и все пионеры сдавал макулатуру, и часто лазил в школьный сарай, где искал журналы с фотографиями военной техники, (у нас в школе учились дети военных). Так вот, там я собирал журналы под названием "военное обозрение НАТО", (точное название уже не помню). Так вот, там были карты, в которых отражены силы НАТО, окружившие СССР со всех сторон, морские, воздушные, сухопутных силы. Я вообще поражаюсь, как СССР отстаивал свои права на существования. Там, вокруг его границ, живого места не было. И это не считая того, что после военной разрухи, когда города, не считая деревни, были уничтожаны, СССР умудрился за 30 лет встать на ноги, ликвидировать разруху, нищету, стать первым в космосе (а это тебе не газом с нефтью торгавать), и создать самую мощную армию, да ещё кормить третьи страны и помагать соседним государствам, в том числе и Германии, отстраиваться после войны. Да, согласен, бананы были редкостью, и постоянно зелёные. Да, велосипедов, мотоциклов, автомобилей, не хватало и далеко не каждый мог заработать на автомобиль и отстоять очередь. Но образование было для каждого и если кто желал отучиться и стать инженером, он мог это сделать и получать зарплату выше средней. Экономические недостатки в СССР можно было исправить. Недостатки сегодняшнего "государства" исправить невозможно, достоинств в нем нет, будущего нет. Всё что осталось, всё что не успели уничтожить, всё это остатки от СССР. Если мой сын уйдёт в большой спорт и какие-то крысы будут запрещать участвовать под российским флажком, я буду счастлив и горд, если мой сын возьмёт красное знамя СССР, и выйдет с ним на олимпиаду. Я не знаю кто ты и где ты живёшь. Но, наверное у тебя все хорошо. Квартира досталась от СССР, земля тоже. А может торговые дела повернул. Только вокруг тебя соседи, которые недовольны этой жизнью. Да, можно иметь несколько автомобилей, квартир, денег в достатке, но я не хочу жить с нищими соседями. И я не хочу, чтобы наш народ, жил как продажная шкура.

Первой шла академия им. Фрунзе, затем военно-политическая, за ней - бронетанковая, четвёртой - академия им. Дзержинского (РВСН), следом военно-инженерная и химзащиты, последини из академий шли летная им. Гагарина и авиационная инженерная им. Жуковского. Тогда ещё все академии в Москве были.

Первый парад маршала Устинова. Только курсанты военно-морских училищ ходили с карабинами. Это намного сложнее, чем с автоматами, но очень красиво. Впереди начальник училища адмирал Платонов. Хорошо моряки прошли!
Мне тогда было 18 лет служу советскому союзу в южной группе войск на передовой в Венгрии скучал по Родине два года парада этого не смотрел по телевизору венгерскому Красиво идут наши доблестные бойцы регулярной красной армии
А ещё красивее, когда с карабинами "на руку" в 50-е годы ходили парадные расчёты.

Сейчас же есть один вопрос - если все для народа, все все строил весь народ, почему тут только военные ? Где бабушка из села прошедшая голодомор или выжившая в Казахстане, у которой ЗП меньше 20ти рублей, или пенсия вот черт уже не помню... не хватит на юг на билеты?
А ответ - а потому что те старцы-тугодумцы на мавзолее игрались в солдатики и им казалось они могут все. И это бряцанье оружие подменяло им "Мы могем, ми сильны", и всегда гос. аппарат опирался на силу штыков, а не реального авторитета. Небось то у половины или боллее присутсвующих только и было "что, опять" в ответ на маханье рукой брежнева.

Союз был великим государством и одновременно империей, но не западного порабощающего типа, а нашего доморощенного, где все народы и народности имели возможность развиваться и двигаться вперед вместе с титульной, русской или великоросской нацией. Это Запад извратил понятие империи, когда высасывал все соки из своих провинций и колоний. Россия, а затем СССР действовал по другому, почему и сохранился. И Россия также сохранится, т .к. построена по такому же принципу. Мы все равны, невзирая на веру, традиции и местоположение.)) Определение империи. Коротко. Империя - это образование из большого количества народов, народностей, этносов и тому подобное. По этому определению мы и есть Империя, но, как сказали бы в 80-е годы, с человеческим лицом.

Советский Союз не был империей. Не надо пытаться проводить параллели между СССР и РИ. Эти государства строили свою национальную политику на совершенно разных принципах и совершенно по разному относились к национальным окраинам.
В РИ - титульная нация и инородцы с иноверцами, а в СССР - интернационализм и все - равноправные граждане, независимо от места проживания и национальности.
А сейчас РФ в области национальной политики мало чем не отличается от других капстран.

1976, значит мне 9, у нас ещё нет цветного телевизора, через год родители купят ленинградскую Радугу, через месяц она накроется, сдадим её по гарантии и купим Берёзку. А у соседа на первом этаже цветной телик есть и мы с друзьями лазили на арку у подъезда смотреть через окно, он для нас не занавешивал. Конечно, иногда мы ходили к нему мультики смотреть, но надо и совесть иметь. Было всего два канала, но почему-то было что посмотреть кроме Сельской жизни). Сейчас только фильмы с торрентов смотрю. Самое главное из того времени - ощущение абсолютного счастья, может потому, что мелкий был, но у нынешней малышни этого не вижу. Что-то нахлынуло. Была уверенность в прекрасном будущем, в армии, в людях. Была настоящая дружба. Были НАШИ. Сейчас остались лишь фантомные боли на месте утраченного

Смотрю и такая ностальгия накатывает, когда сами шли по Красной площади на ноябрьском параде 1979 года. Как тренировались. Незабываемое время!
Ну, а МосВОКУ им. Верховного Совета РСФСР как всегда великолепно прошло перед трибунами. Метровый шаг у них был парадный. На тренировках гарнизонных все академии сбегались смотреть, когда "верховники" последними по Ходынскому полю шли.

There has always been a live broadcast from all festive parades and demonstrations by all TV and radio stations of the country and via the Intervision system to other countries. The best announcers commented on these broadcasts.
При официальной съёмке комментарии всегда были. Всегда со всех праздничных парадов и демонстраций велась прямая трансляция всеми теле- и радиостанциями страны и по системе Интервидение на другие страны. Эти трансляции комментировали самые лучшие дикторы.

Well put together and now that it's the past it's kind of nostalgic. I'll have to say though, the fact that one of the car's brake lights doesn't work and the other one's staying on all of the time kind of sums up the USSR's actual function.
I noticed that too. Really strange for one of the most important parades of the year. It also seemed that some servicemen didn't really knew what to do during the national anthem. Little details that give away the state of things I think.
Russian cars are garbage. I lived in Western Europe in my youth in the 80s and 90s and they were the subject of jokes there: How do you double the value of a Lada? Fill it with gasoline! What's the difference between a Lada and a Jehova's witness? You close the door on a Jehova's witness. What is the back page of a Lada owner's manual? The municipal bus schedule! 🤣

Mao was right when Khrushchev was started the reveal politics of Stalin's person. This thing was blown up the future of USSR when had beggun "перестройка". That was a critical mistake of Khrushchev (some people thinks that he was a betrayer and I agree with them)

In that years in time 1964-1985 was a stagnation period, I am not wondered why soviet union has fallen. And finally "перестройка" or "perestroika" has commited final punch to USSR. Lot of people did not understand what did it mean.
Finally stage was Belovezha Accords that has completed destroying USSR. That accords is the crime. Look at referendum about preservation of USSR, if you didn't see you will be surprised how much percents of people voted for preservation and those accords ... that was crime against soviet people! 😡
P.S My father was born in USSR and whole his life after breakdown USSR has said: "Bandits destroyed the mighty state of my homeland". Today in Russia we have no way of ideology such it was in USSR, but in China the CCP has it for your people and that's great! China the last and biggest bastion of communism, today (sure not without of part of capitalism hehe)
@@Maxim9575 We have an old saying: domestic thieves are difficult to prevent. Big Brother was not defeated by the Nazis's external attack, and there was no internal rebellion of the people. Even in the referendum on the eve of the disintegration, nearly 80% of the people supported the retention of the Soviet Union, just because Yeltsin, they destroyed our Big Brother.

Any reason why the music when the military vehicles come out sounds more clearer then in other parades?
43:46 The band moves away from the center of Red Square and closer towards the GUM department store which most likely had microphones that picked up the audio much more clearly for the sole reason that the vehicle segment of the parade would drown out the music.
There's no tank or heavy vehicles on display this year, so the march music isn't get drowned by the loud machine
This was one (1) year before *Star Wars* came out.

Here’s an English translation of what I stated in Russian
What Americans don’t realize is that the soviets were first to declare war on Hitler November 7th 1941 while the United States threw their hat in the ring after the attack on Pearl harbor carried out by the Japanese military. Franklin Roosevelt the sitting president during most of World War II received warnings of the imperial Japanese fleet moving from Australia past them. Americans didn’t want to be involved in the war at the time so FDR let Pearl Harbor happen to get the people fired up to fight Hitler and the Japanese. There’s a lot of skeletons in americas history and alot of horrible acts of betrayal during World War II by American leaders and businessmen. The point of the matter is simple hitler couldn’t have been stopped without the Soviet Union and the might and fearlessness of the red army. The United States did help with ammo weapons and many other things for the Soviet Union and honestly I wish that alliance stuck after World War II ended. Plenty Soviet Union citizens wanted coexistence with America back when the USSR was around under Gorbachev but it was too late for the USSR it was dying internally from incredible corruption and greed within the government. I fully believe if the USA and USSR stayed Allies after World War II the USSR may have never collapsed and still stand today as a superpower and the only communist nation that earned respect globally for what they did in World War II. As the Soviet Union anthem states,the great Soviet Union will live through the ages and all generations will honor her name.” I respect and thank Russia and their people for all they given back when the dark fascist power threatened the world. Glory to the Soviet Union her work in history will never be forgotten. Hooray!!

Soviet marches are not always played to correspond with the type troops or vehicles displayed on parade. For instance, imperial Russian marches, such as the march of the 92nd Pechora infantry regiment was played when the Suvorov cadets marched pasted Lenin’s tomb during the 1978 parade. Although this march was used initially supposed to be only played for the 92nd Pechora regiment, the conductor of this parade still wanted to play it because it sounds beautiful.

When you see stuff like this you can see why western powers were concerned with the USSR. It would have been pretty intimidating as a show of force, and this I'm guessing would have been around the height of the USSR's power.
Those uniforms are pretty snazzy too.
Also, if you could say nothing else, the USSR had one of, if not the best, anthems to exist, imo.
