I think I would go for the trench club. It would require essentially no training and although could easily be lethal, blows to collarbones, hands, forearm, etc., could disable an opponent without being fatal. The sword spears, cool, and if you had to fight to the death, I might very well prefer it, but I’m looking at it from the standpoint of disarming and disabling. An opponent is probably more along the lines of what you would want to do. If I seriously felt like I had to use lethal force, I think I would prefer my katana.

Thanks for another Weapons Wednesday! How long is the tang of the Dark Assassin Spear Sword? The positions of the screws make me think that the tang extends at least halfway down the handle. The picture on the website makes me think that it might be full tang with the nylon fiber on top of that. A full tang construction with nylon fiber on top would be an amazingly good construction. If I had to fight in most situations, I'd want the Dark Assassin Spear Sword. The reach would be great, and the construction looks solid. I'm too far gone to be good with this one, but I'd have my best chance. My second choice would be the Cogwheel Trench Club. I worry that the faux leather wrap wouldn't stand up to long-term use, but this one is too well-decorated to be thought of as something to take a serious beating over many years. I will consider this one as a photography prop if I can ever get models to my home again. I can see where this one would still be a fearsome self-defense tool if one could land a hit on an attacker. Neither of the others would be a good fit for me. I'm not sure what birds would be in your area and like the lemons. Many people make oriole feeders by nailing half an orange to a post. I once had a lemon tree, but it didn't survive. I had an orange tree that did very well. Of course, none of those would survive where I am now. I can't get anything to grow at my place.
