Was not aware this game even existed! Considering the fact we want to do our voice acting fan dubs for every Megaman game, and this one will be taken offline soon... going to ask some members of the team to try and play it and record everything before then and work on a video for it! Megaman 7 was supposed to be our next classic megaman title for our fan dub series... but with this shutting down might move into this instead. Thanks for showing off this game. Hopefully we can do it justice with a fan dub. Even have some Japanese speaking people in our connections that can help with translations if needed.
Someone already ported the Mega Man DOS maps to a Mega Man 2 ROM Hack, so I would think it is entirely feasible to get a hardware native version running once it is stable on PC
I just don't see anyone remaking the whole game without leaving it as is, it's just not worth it, i can see the levels being remade in Mega Man Maker but that's it
Thank you so much for bringing light to this game! I had no idea this game, and song for that matter, even existed. I have to say, after listening to the song myself, I have not been able to stop listening to it for a good 2 hours, lol. I should definitely give the game a try before it’s taken down. I will say, though, I’m slightly worried that the songs will be deleted as well. I know that for Mega Man Star Force 2, in Japan there was a song, which can be translated to be Utsusemi, that was made by a band called SOUTH BLOW, which was used to promote the game in trailers. (I’m not entirely sure if it was a commission or not by CAPCOM.) The main point is that the song is no longer available on any of their platforms. (I can find other songs from the album it should be in, but not the one from the SF2 commercials.) This is a re-upload, but if you look in the description, you can click the Japanese name of the song, ウツセミ, which will take you to the “SOUTH BLOW - Topic” channel. I think the songs will stick around, but will not see a re-release in any compilation albums by the group, if they were to do one. If someone were to get each version of Rocket Queen, in case it goes away, that'd be nice.

I find it highly unlikely that the song will be deleted as it would require the internet to be scrubbed of countless videos and posts on RUclips, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc. made by TEAM SHACHI, members of the group, and fans. It's one of their most famous songs and they also perform it often. To make it clear - the mobile game was a tie-in to TEAM SHACHI's single "Rocket Queen/Rock Away", rather than the song being a tie-in to something CAPCOM made.
True. With the ability to download and preserve these songs now, it's possible to have high quality versions, rather than some aged version with low quality audio.

the thing that gets me about this is that everything about this story is at odds with the mega man x story. so like, yeah its not canon. also considering it's a japanese game that ties into j-pop, the "chicken wing shield" is likely tempura shrimp. the two get mixed up.
Chicken wing is one of Nagoya's soul foods, and Team Shachi is based off of Nagoya, so it makes sense. Also, Haruna's image color is "chicken wing green", so it fits with her branding.
Actually, in one instance, I think that the actual story of Rock/Mega and Roll is that they are NOT siblings, but, rather, they are supposed to be an android/cyborg/robotic Adam and Eve, and that these four girls are their kids. Now why I am saying this is that, between the events of this game, and the Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends games, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, somehow, Robots lost the ability to reproduce as humans do for a long while, and, somewhere around the Rock/Mega Man Zero, or Rock/Mega Man ZX eras of the timeline, humans could breed with Reploids, and that Reploids could breed with one another, which also led to an even worse war than the ones that were in between the other eras of the timeline.

Dr. Light being dead only means he already transferred his mind into those crazy capsules for Rock's little brother, no worries. I have hope someone archives this game, it's one of the biggest let downs of modern age gaming to lose games every so often, especially those browser ones.

@@GottaBeFrank there's a bit of background behind them. They did a crowdfunding in order to hire LINE CUBE Shibuya to do a concert without an audience in April of 2020. However, they had to postpone it to May due to Japan going into full lockdown, so they did the first at-home performances instead. They then postponed the concert in Shibuya again and did another at-home performance in May. And then they finally did the concert without an audience in July of 2020.
Can it backed up on the Internet Archive? Wily being alive makes some sense. He did survive a ceiling falling on him. Also in Mega Man II GB the story is Wily traveled to the future and kidnapped and reprogrammed MM into Quint.

Actually this was deemed canon by Capcom. Although as a silly westerner with a lisp I'm sure you didn't know this. Capcom made it very clear that this is how mega man before X died out and the girls took over taking on the robot masters. Sadly tho they never continued this amazing arc.

I guess I'm lucky I got to know about this game just months ago or I might miss it after this month. Cleared it multiple times once I figured out the pattern. You can actually get a bad ending when you fail to deal enough damage to Megaman on the final phase. But that will mean you deliberately not attack the Blue Bomber at all.

I don't really care about the gameplay, but the story and premise is actually really interesting. I like the idea of the Robot Masters being sickly and unhealthy 90 year olds, makes you appreciate their normal selves more, and the main girls are all cute and likable.
It's tebasaki, which is Nagoya-style chicken wings. The reason is that all the members of TEAM SHACHI have colors and Haru, who uses the chicken wings/tebasaki shield had the color "tebasaki midori" (i.e. Tebasaki green)
I think that this game will eventually be an offline release and that they will do a lot of better quality of life improvements to the game, as well as also make it canon to the series. I mean, if Rock/Mega Man X DiVE Offline is now officially going to be a thing, then it also makes sense for this game to be one too, right? Also, I expect it to get a LOT of additions, as well as have Mega/Rock Man 1/Powered Up, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Rock/Mega Man and Forte/Bass 1 and 2, GB 1, GB 2, GB 3, GB 4, GB 5, and even Super Adventure Rock/Mega Man and Wily and Right's/Light's Rock/Mega Board: That's Paradise content added to the game, as well as the Japanese, mobile, and computer content things added to the game. This game also would be one of the other alternate timelines in which the series could end, as, technically, I have a small caveat to add to Rock/Mega Man 10's ending. Now in the ending to that game, Dr. Wily gave cures to the Roboenza to Rock/Mega, Roll, and all of the other Robots. However, one of three things could also have been added to that ending. 1. Dr. Wily had actually hidden an even more dangerous variant of Roboenza to Rock/Mega, Roll, Auto, Beat, Rush, Tango, and Blues/Proto Man, which had killed them, and, in the meantime, Dr. Wily had built Zero, while Dr. Right/Light had built what we would know as Rock/Mega Man X, and that it was the latter of those new generations of Robots that we would eventually know as Reploids that was not infected by Roboenza due to him being isolated from it, while Zero not only held a variant of it, but that it was called the Wily Virus (hence the "W" being shown into part of Zero's helmet in Rock/Mega Man X4), but, whenever it came into contact with Sigma, a century or so later down on the line, per the events of Rock/Mega Man X/Maverick Hunter, it then mutated into the Sigma Virus, and then, in the Rock/Mega Man Zero events a century later, and, later, the Rock/Mega Man ZX events a century or two later, further mutations of the Sigma Virus. 2. However, because this game exists, one could also say that it is an alternate future in which the story of Rock/Mega was Mag Miyaki had existed, and that Roll was actually a completely separate woman that was totally not his sister that was named Megumi Kobashi, and that Dr. Right's/Light's intention for them was to become essentially an android/robotic Adam and Eve, and that Blues/Proto Man was a failed prototype of Rock/Mega. Said future is also those four girls that were their daughters, and that it was their daughters that had continued on their legacy. However, due to certain things that had not been mentioned, it was not until at least the events of Rock/Mega Man Zero, or Rock/Mega Man ZX, that Reploids, or Reploids with human lovers, could make children, because, by the time of the Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends/The Mimsadventures of Tron Bonne, that is said to be possible, just like in the main series canonical timeline.
The difference is that Rockman X DiVE is a mobile game with a lot of content. This is a 5~ish minute crossover game with a non-canon story. Licensing is most likely going to play a factor as to why it's being shut down and will, most likely, never see an offline release. Also I only read the beginning part of this comment because it's a comment section, not the place to dump a thesis paper.

It's a real shame there's no way to preserve a proper play through of the game. I tried to; but due to the nature of this game being built around a licensed song, the video got blocked worldwide if I dared keep the audio intact... But the game is TIMED to the audio, so removing it flattens the whole experience. So I guess once this goes offline, the full experience will simply be lost media, neither available playable or watchable in its intended form. It sucks.
Seems like it would have to be recreated. It can probably be done, but it might take a while, from some interested in taking on that project. Even then, distributing it could be a problem since it uses a licensed song.
@@GottaBeFrank I did realize you mentioned the band's official channel has a playthrough up of this though, that's good to exist at least! But yeah, true; it doesn't seem the most complex game to remake TBH, as it's not terribly long. Song would have to be replaced or something though, which would be tricky to pull off well given the musical timing of the gameplay. It is a neat little game though! You're lucky to have beaten it on your first attempt getting to the boss. It DOES seem like there is a fail condition; I don't know how but when the song ended on my...I think third attempt of the boss (I died the first two times), I actually did not see the good ending cutscenes but instead had a cutscene of the bandmates getting annihilated by giant Mega Man's attack, a unique Game Over. Perhaps it was because I did not do enough damage before the song ended. I eventually got a proper victory though. I also learned a glitch! If you click the game on the website player, start it, then click to another browser tab in a certain way, the game will play in the background. It will condition to run, but you will not die unless you return to the game mid-level (in which case you totally will). But if you go back during a between-level cutscene moment (easy enough to listen for given the musical cues), you will actually be fine, and just resume from there like you had completed all the previous sections. ...I used this to get back to the boss without having to re-conquer the other stages over and over again, lol.
Mayhaps some clever Rom Hacker will take the concept and fit it into the traditional way of playing it while preserving some of the maps. Still Dr. Wily being alive is only the tip of the iceburg on silly continuity. Why do Megaman and his siblings not only get elderly but get IV injection let alone destroyed Robots getting ressurected only to get elderly too, complete with facial hair! It's the worst concept since Robot Chicken had Muppets that bleed.
So glad that I ran across this GEM. I've ripped about 90% of the sprites myself and I have the game backed up... It will never be fully lost. Hate when the try to take games from us 4 eternity....

Awesome news! I found someone who made an archive of the game! But RUclips keeps deleting my comments trying to explain how to find it. (I tested on my own channel and they don’t even go to the “Held for Review” section strangely enough… Not sure what’s going on.) The Reddit thread I found it in was posted on the 24th of August if that helps.
Look for a guy named "unixfan2001", and in one of his comments, he has two links. I played the game all the way through, once using each link on PC, and I was able to get to the end with no gameplay issues! I will say, for PC, I used Firefox to play it because Chrome felt like it wasn't as smooth, but Chrome feels like it's been acting up on my PC, because it ran fine on Chrome on my phone, so Chrome might actually be fine on PC. I got to the end of the game using both links on PC, and I tried both links out on my phone with no issues on either end. (Albeit, I didn't reach the end of the game on my phone, but I'd assume it would work fine if I could beat it on PC.) There are just a couple of weird quirks. First off, the guy who made this mentions it too, but it's not perfect as he hasn't implemented a couple of things, one being the "Game Over" screen. (I also noticed the ending cut scene doesn't work, so it's just a black screen after you beat Dr. Wily.) That means you need to refresh the link to retry it, which isn't a big deal on mobile, but for PC, just know that you need the browser window to be small enough for the "Skip" button to be visible. If it's full screen, or the window is just too big in general, you won't be able to see it and would have to watch the intro cut-scene every time you refresh the browser. But you can make the browser full-screen again once you skip the cut scene if you'd like. The controls are the same on PC as before too, as I was able to use the same controller layout as the original release without any issues. But aside from the few odd things I mentioned, the game works just as it did before. The sound effects and music seem intact, and there weren't any graphical glitches I noticed, so thankfully there's a way to play the game still! I'm not entirely sure if he's going to keep working on it to fix the few issues I mentioned, but it would be great if he did at some point. (As an extra note, I noticed in one of unixfan2001's other comments, in the same Reddit thread, that he made this archive because he got recommended your video. So, we might not have gotten this way to play the game if it wasn't for your video!)

I find it highly unlikely that the song will be deleted as it would require the internet to be scrubbed of countless videos and posts on RUclips, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc. made by TEAM SHACHI, members of the group, and fans. It's one of their most famous songs and they also perform it often. To make it clear - the mobile game was a tie-in to TEAM SHACHI's single "Rocket Queen/Rock Away", rather than the song being a tie-in to something CAPCOM made.
True. With the ability to download and preserve these songs now, it's possible to have high quality versions, rather than some aged version with low quality audio.

Chicken wing is one of Nagoya's soul foods, and Team Shachi is based off of Nagoya, so it makes sense. Also, Haruna's image color is "chicken wing green", so it fits with her branding.
Actually, in one instance, I think that the actual story of Rock/Mega and Roll is that they are NOT siblings, but, rather, they are supposed to be an android/cyborg/robotic Adam and Eve, and that these four girls are their kids. Now why I am saying this is that, between the events of this game, and the Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends games, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, somehow, Robots lost the ability to reproduce as humans do for a long while, and, somewhere around the Rock/Mega Man Zero, or Rock/Mega Man ZX eras of the timeline, humans could breed with Reploids, and that Reploids could breed with one another, which also led to an even worse war than the ones that were in between the other eras of the timeline.

@@GottaBeFrank there's a bit of background behind them. They did a crowdfunding in order to hire LINE CUBE Shibuya to do a concert without an audience in April of 2020. However, they had to postpone it to May due to Japan going into full lockdown, so they did the first at-home performances instead. They then postponed the concert in Shibuya again and did another at-home performance in May. And then they finally did the concert without an audience in July of 2020.

Actually this was deemed canon by Capcom. Although as a silly westerner with a lisp I'm sure you didn't know this. Capcom made it very clear that this is how mega man before X died out and the girls took over taking on the robot masters. Sadly tho they never continued this amazing arc.

Cleared it multiple times once I figured out the pattern. You can actually get a bad ending when you fail to deal enough damage to Megaman on the final phase. But that will mean you deliberately not attack the Blue Bomber at all.

I think that this game will eventually be an offline release and that they will do a lot of better quality of life improvements to the game, as well as also make it canon to the series. I mean, if Rock/Mega Man X DiVE Offline is now officially going to be a thing, then it also makes sense for this game to be one too, right? Also, I expect it to get a LOT of additions, as well as have Mega/Rock Man 1/Powered Up, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Rock/Mega Man and Forte/Bass 1 and 2, GB 1, GB 2, GB 3, GB 4, GB 5, and even Super Adventure Rock/Mega Man and Wily and Right's/Light's Rock/Mega Board: That's Paradise content added to the game, as well as the Japanese, mobile, and computer content things added to the game. This game also would be one of the other alternate timelines in which the series could end, as, technically, I have a small caveat to add to Rock/Mega Man 10's ending. Now in the ending to that game, Dr. Wily gave cures to the Roboenza to Rock/Mega, Roll, and all of the other Robots. However, one of three things could also have been added to that ending.
1. Dr. Wily had actually hidden an even more dangerous variant of Roboenza to Rock/Mega, Roll, Auto, Beat, Rush, Tango, and Blues/Proto Man, which had killed them, and, in the meantime, Dr. Wily had built Zero, while Dr. Right/Light had built what we would know as Rock/Mega Man X, and that it was the latter of those new generations of Robots that we would eventually know as Reploids that was not infected by Roboenza due to him being isolated from it, while Zero not only held a variant of it, but that it was called the Wily Virus (hence the "W" being shown into part of Zero's helmet in Rock/Mega Man X4), but, whenever it came into contact with Sigma, a century or so later down on the line, per the events of Rock/Mega Man X/Maverick Hunter, it then mutated into the Sigma Virus, and then, in the Rock/Mega Man Zero events a century later, and, later, the Rock/Mega Man ZX events a century or two later, further mutations of the Sigma Virus.

However, because this game exists, one could also say that it is an alternate future in which the story of Rock/Mega was Mag Miyaki had existed, and that Roll was actually a completely separate woman that was totally not his sister that was named Megumi Kobashi, and that Dr. Right's/Light's intention for them was to become essentially an android/robotic Adam and Eve, and that Blues/Proto Man was a failed prototype of Rock/Mega. Said future is also those four girls that were their daughters, and that it was their daughters that had continued on their legacy. However, due to certain things that had not been mentioned, it was not until at least the events of Rock/Mega Man Zero, or Rock/Mega Man ZX, that Reploids, or Reploids with human lovers, could make children, because, by the time of the Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends/The Mimsadventures of Tron Bonne, that is said to be possible, just like in the main series canonical timeline.
The difference is that Rockman X DiVE is a mobile game with a lot of content. This is a 5~ish minute crossover game with a non-canon story. Licensing is most likely going to play a factor as to why it's being shut down and will, most likely, never see an offline release.

It's a real shame there's no way to preserve a proper play through of the game. I tried to; but due to the nature of this game being built around a licensed song, the video got blocked worldwide if I dared keep the audio intact... But the game is TIMED to the audio, so removing it flattens the whole experience. So I guess once this goes offline, the full experience will simply be lost media, neither available playable or watchable in its intended form. It sucks.
Seems like it would have to be recreated. It can probably be done, but it might take a while, from some interested in taking on that project. Even then, distributing it could be a problem since it uses a licensed song.

But yeah, true; it doesn't seem the most complex game to remake TBH, as it's not terribly long. Song would have to be replaced or something though, which would be tricky to pull off well given the musical timing of the gameplay. It is a neat little game though!
You're lucky to have beaten it on your first attempt getting to the boss. It DOES seem like there is a fail condition; I don't know how but when the song ended on my...I think third attempt of the boss (I died the first two times), I actually did not see the good ending cutscenes but instead had a cutscene of the bandmates getting annihilated by giant Mega Man's attack, a unique Game Over. Perhaps it was because I did not do enough damage before the song ended. I eventually got a proper victory though.
I also learned a glitch! If you click the game on the website player, start it, then click to another browser tab in a certain way, the game will play in the background. It will condition to run, but you will not die unless you return to the game mid-level (in which case you totally will). But if you go back during a between-level cutscene moment (easy enough to listen for given the musical cues), you will actually be fine, and just resume from there like you had completed all the previous sections. ...I used this to get back to the boss without having to re-conquer the other stages over and over again, lol.
Could you play in Responsive Design Mode provided by all browsers, to restrict the viewport to smart phone dimensions?
I tried it, but I think it didn't display properly. Once I figured out the PC controls, I moved on from trying it.

Mayhaps some clever Rom Hacker will take the concept and fit it into the traditional way of playing it while preserving some of the maps. Still Dr. Wily being alive is only the tip of the iceburg on silly continuity. Why do Megaman and his siblings not only get elderly but get IV injection let alone destroyed Robots getting ressurected only to get elderly too, complete with facial hair! It's the worst concept since Robot Chicken had Muppets that bleed.

Color bleed is likely intentional and looks very much like an actual NES. This is what these games looked like... except less sharp.

I've been told that a few times, but I have yet to find a playable archive of it.
Awesome news! I found someone who made an archive of the game! But RUclips keeps deleting my comments trying to explain how to find it. (I tested on my own channel and they don’t even go to the “Held for Review” section strangely enough… Not sure what’s going on.) The Reddit thread I found it in was posted on the 24th of August if that helps.
Look for a guy named "unixfan2001", and in one of his comments, he has two links. I played the game all the way through, once using each link on PC, and I was able to get to the end with no gameplay issues! I will say, for PC, I used Firefox to play it because Chrome felt like it wasn't as smooth, but Chrome feels like it's been acting up on my PC, because it ran fine on Chrome on my phone, so Chrome might actually be fine on PC.
I got to the end of the game using both links on PC, and I tried both links out on my phone with no issues on either end. (Albeit, I didn't reach the end of the game on my phone, but I'd assume it would work fine if I could beat it on PC.) There are just a couple of weird quirks. First off, the guy who made this mentions it too, but it's not perfect as he hasn't implemented a couple of things, one being the "Game Over" screen. (I also noticed the ending cut scene doesn't work, so it's just a black screen after you beat Dr. Wily.)
That means you need to refresh the link to retry it, which isn't a big deal on mobile, but for PC, just know that you need the browser window to be small enough for the "Skip" button to be visible. If it's full screen, or the window is just too big in general, you won't be able to see it and would have to watch the intro cut-scene every time you refresh the browser. But you can make the browser full-screen again once you skip the cut scene if you'd like.
The controls are the same on PC as before too, as I was able to use the same controller layout as the original release without any issues. But aside from the few odd things I mentioned, the game works just as it did before. The sound effects and music seem intact, and there weren't any graphical glitches I noticed, so thankfully there's a way to play the game still! I'm not entirely sure if he's going to keep working on it to fix the few issues I mentioned, but it would be great if he did at some point.
(As an extra note, I noticed in one of unixfan2001's other comments, in the same Reddit thread, that he made this archive because he got recommended your video. So, we might not have gotten this way to play the game if it wasn't for your video!)

@@GottaBeFrank Strange, last time I tried it on the internet archive it worked. Took forever to load though. That was like a couple years ago, maybe it's a matter of finding a capture that works?

@@duckyworthIV I haven't found a working capture yet. However, I have been informed that the game has now been archived on flashpoint as of a few days ago. Doesn't appear yet on the website's database, but if you download the latest version of flashpoint infinity it's there
