Mercedes Engine OM 471 Euro 6
The engine OM 471 has a one piece cylinder head.
There are two intake valves and two exhaust valves for each cylinder in the cylinder head.
The new engine generation is fitted with a common rail diesel
injection system, EGR and boost pressure control.
The "Amplified Pressure Common Rail System (APCRS)", is the first
common rail system to be used in a Mercedes Benz commercial
vehicle that minimizes the quantity of fuel required for combustion.
