I love the original version by The Beatles and the more recent version by Paul McCartney, but after listening to the live version by Alison Krauss, I think that she deserves the royalty checks for that song. Ms.Krauss has such an angelic voice.
I heard this on a Saturday, bluegrass radio program and asked a friend "who is that" and since learning that Alison and Union Station performed it, I have been a devoted fan. She is wonderful.
I saw an angels face. She came to me when I was distraught over my nephew ( I had applied to foster him and was waiting for weeks to to hear from foster care). she appeared and put her hand on my shoulder gave me peace. 2 days later I got the call to come and pick my nephew !

A.......I am a performer myself and I was listening to A Prairie Home Companion driving home from a job I had playing and singing at a supper Club in Kalamazoo, Michigan and I heard Alison Krauss singing.......and I was HOOKED! Alison is an absolutely AWESOME singer and I rank her as one of my all-time favorites.....maybe even my number ONE favorite. She's the best!
