People need to check out a few videos [because sometimes it takes more than one to convince you} of how sugar is produced and the number of chemical processes it goes through before it makes it the store shelfs. Natural sugar from fruits and vegetables still sugar but as you mentioned you get not only the sweetness but fiber which is very important to control how much and how fast our system will absorb it. I would recommend to those who truly struggle to let go of white sugar to switch to unbleached sugar and to little-by-little use less, this is advice from a person who had a very sweet tooth and struggled for a long time but eventually won and stop eating it. Content like the one found in your channel is very important and helpful for those who want to make a change in their diet and need all the help they can get. Thank you so much!!! Your recipes are easy to follow and I appreciate how you take the time to explain the process. 🙂

This cake is delicious and it freezes well. As the only plant based person in my household, and one that is watching her calories, I could not have the whole cake sitting there looking at me. So I portioned it up and froze the portions individually to eat one at a time. It is just as delicious after freezing and thawing. Love it!
Hi Janine! Did you include the frosting in your frozen slices? I've done this with other cakes using typical buttercream-type frostings so my guess is it works out here too? Hope you see this!

And if you don’t need nut free I am guessing you can replace it with almond butter. Trader Joe’s has a raw unsalted almond butter that is great for baking and such.

I made this for my mums birthday and it was delicious!! So simple and easy to make. My aunty and cousin had a piece too and really enjoyed it (they are used to eating non-vegan ‘normal’ cakes. I’ll definitely be making it again and so will my mum, I sent this video to all of them💕

Update: This cake was so delicious and it was so easy, that my daughter was able to do most of the steps herself. Everyone enjoyed it and I’m so grateful for you sharing your gifts. I asked her what her favorite part of her birthday was and she said eating her cake. ❤ And this is considering that my stores didn’t have any 8 inch pans and I’ve never made a cake before. I had to use a 9 inch pan and it still came out great. I am very happy I got to have this wonderful experience with her.

Oh WOW - that chcolate ganache! I made the cake this weekend and the frosting was absolutely DELICIOUS. But I made the mistake of wanting a chocolate sponge as well, so I substituted half cup of oat flour with cacao and the cake didn't didn't rise. Lesson learned: next time I'll wait until Mr Javant figures out the formula for chocolate sponge. He is the master recipe maker!

I finally made the healthy vegan ground recipe. A friend brot over 2-8oz pkgs of baby bellas. We dont buy or eat 'shrooms anymore...that's what was keeping me from making that recipe. But i figured, just make it this once, so we bo't a beautiful head of cauliflower. I had everything else. It took a few, like most everything else I prepare, but it came out nice...froze 4-12 oz bags & had a great snack from the remaining few ozs. So even tho' it's not something I'll make regularly, I'm glad i made it. It definitely is delicious and healthy. So if the viewers eat mushrooms, give it a try. Javant, may I recommend using a fine wire strainer or sifter. It eliminates having to break up clumps later on. I love all of your recipes. Keep it up❤

My daughter's allergic to dates, so I tried to make it with figs, but I guess figs are drier than dates, so I should have added more moisture to the wet ingredients of the cake batter (which I didn't figure out until I was making the icing). It came out more like a cookie cake, but my daughter likes it anyway!😁

I delayed watching because I just knew it would have almond flour and/or flax meaning I couldn’t eat it. Yayyyy it had neither and looks delicious! I definitely need to make this.

I am old-school when I was young I use a sifter to get all the clumps out of the flour.
I like to simplify things when possible!

Oh my goodness, I mean I loved your blueberry cake which is now a family favourite, but I can not wait to try this one. My daughter's allergic to dates, so I tried to make it with figs, but I guess figs are drier than dates, so I should have added more moisture to the wet ingredients of the cake batter (which I didn't figure out until I was making the icing). It came out more like a cookie cake, but my daughter likes it anyway!😁
😅 Love your effort to make a version that your daughter can eat. Perhaps cutting and soaking the figs overnight would help them absorb more moisture.
