    the cake looks so good and you’ve decorated it beautifully 🎀⭐️ however, i tried it w bananas and it did not taste good + hated the texture, what i learnt from that though is the you just can’t make bread w/o flour. flour is key.

    Megan, I want to try this. Looks yummy. But, my daughter shouldn't have eggs, so is there a substitute for eggs that you would recommend? Thank you!!

      The cake recipe doesn’t have cocoa powder (or any other chocolate) in it - the frosting does. Watch the video again.

      You could probably use a flax egg. You can find recipes on RUclips on how to make one.

    i can't get this to rise... why isn't that happening?

    • @DetoxinistaRecipes
      @DetoxinistaRecipes  5 месяцев назад +2

      Could it be due to old baking soda? That, paired with the eggs, helps this cake rise. Or try using double the amount of baking powder (so 1 1/2 teaspoons) for a similar lift.

    • @4bbl4sp2ex
      @4bbl4sp2ex 5 месяцев назад

      @@DetoxinistaRecipes baking soda or baking powder? which one? the video says soda... i am not sure how old it is. will try new soda get powder for next time. it still tastes delicious even if it didn't rise... haha

    So what's the difference between using sugar from dates vs cane sugar? 🫤

    • @naomicremen5790
      @naomicremen5790 Месяц назад +1

      Nutritional value: Date sugar is made from dried, crushed dates and retains the nutrients of the fruit, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Cane sugar is extracted from sugarcane and undergoes a refining process that removes most of its nutrients, leaving only calories.
      Processing: Date sugar is minimally processed, while cane sugar is heavily processed.
      Glycemic index: Date sugar has a lower glycemic index than cane sugar, which can help control blood sugar levels. Cane sugar has a glycemic index of 65, which can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels, while date sugar has a glycemic index of around 55.
