  • What's the state of charge for each battery in a fleet of 100 emergency response vehicles? Now it's surprisingly easy to find out. The GlobalLink 520 offers a low-cost, simple solution for connecting smaller power systems to Victron's Remote Management Portal (VRM). Once added to VRM, you can review the real-time performance of each system, analyze & diagnose issues, and make changes to the settings - right from your phone or laptop. With the most recent Firmware version 2.06, you can now use the GlobalLink's onboard Bluetooth receiver to talk to up to 10 Bluetooth-enabled devices, including Victron SmartSolar charge controllers, SmartShunts, and Ruuvi temperature and humidity sensors.

Great video. Keep them coming. I might need a couple of these for a couple cabins.

At 3:22 in the video, you show a VRM screen that I'm not seeing on my system. Can you tell me how you navigate to that? Thanks.

Hi Steve, yes. Have you added your system as an installation on VRM? Go ahead and shoot me an email at laura@icmontana.com and we'll get you sorted.

Hello I have a magnum system with a midnight classic charge controller. I would like to set my system up with this. I want to know how humidity, pressure , temperature and motion monitors help me monitor my system.

Hi there, you can absolutely still benefit from using Ruuvi sensors - customers put them in the garage where the system is installed, the battery bank enclosure, etc and use the Ruuvi Station mobile app to remotely monitor their system and receive alerts when something is off. But there is no integration between Ruuvi and Magnum, so you won't be able to monitor this environmental data - alongside the rest of your system performance data like you can with a Victron system. This is unique to VRM and a Victron-Ruuvi product integration.

Is the GlobalLink 520 compatible with SensorPush, too?

Hi there, sorry for the late reply! If Victron doesn't claim compatibility with that product, then it's safe to say no.

You should mention that this is not compatible with the Cerbo GX

The GlobalLink 520 and the Cerbo (both Victron GX devices) will both talk with Ruuvi temperature sensors but would not use a GlobalLink and a Cerbo in the same system.

There's no special antenna for LTE-M. That's just marketing hype, deception or ignorance on the part of the person or vendor selling it.

Off course, yes, there are probably lots of antennas that will work. Victron makes one (and it works really well).
