Thanks for showing this video. I've been procrastinating about building my horizontal hives, but I need to get with it. I did build a FarmHouse style long hive and have other ideas. In your video you mentioned the entrance holes but pointed to the un-hinged side. Might I suggest putting the entrance in the Hinged side so you can work the bees without being in their flyway. Just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching Jimmy. I will definitely put the entrance holes on the hinged side. I made 2 last year and they have them on the hinged side. I am thinking about making one of these into a version of mating nucs. If I put divider boards in I can have 4 or 5 nucs in it. Whats your thoughts?
No sir. I used my table saw to cut the notch in the 2x12's before I screwed the end pieces on. You can use a router but it is quicker, and to me easier, with the table saw. Thanks so much for watching.
Thanks for sharing.👍
Thanks for watching.
Looks good. Agree that the angled legs are much better. Did the same with my topbars. 🐝
Yep. Luckily the one that got blown over was fine after I stood it back up. Thanks for watching.

Did you also use router to make top where the frames sit?
