Oh, my gosh, that sample closet was like paradise. I love trying new skincare things! Oh, you'd never see me again. Unless I got so covered in sunscreen and moisturizer that I slipped under the door and slid past you down the hall. I have a new Cetaphil moisturizer coming in my auto-ship box next week that I'm excited to try out. Good video!
I follow a handful of derms and somehow I just found your channel and I’m excited to bing watch your videos. I hate wasting money on sunscreens that I end up not liking so I’m happy to hear all your recommendations. I tried bliss sunscreen that i bought at target after a couple beauty yourtubers recommended it. I highly recommend. It looks so good under makeup and by itself. It’s all mineral with zero white cast. It doesn’t say it’s tinted on the package but it does have a slight tint to it. It almost blurs pores and makes wrinkles look less prominent like it puts a veil over your skin and looks very beautiful. It’s spf 30 and almost semi matte but surprisingly my extra dry skin loves it. The only sunscreen I will wear and go out makeup free which I normally don’t do because not comfortable. I was also happy I was able to get a very small tube for 9.99 bucks to try out and now that I know I like it I will go back and get the normal size for $21 but the small tube has lasted me a long time.
Yep, my dermatologist gave me all of those samples to use. I don’t know why people waste money on celebrity "skincare" instead of going to a dermatologist.

I loved the Eucerin Daily Hydration SPF 30 as moisturizer + sunscreen on my face for years…its just so affordable at $7…and works well under makeup…only thing it definitely would sting my eyes as the day went on. So I switched to DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen…no stinging eyes at all.

I am now lap swimming, and somehow inside my goggles, my sunscreen is burning my eyes. Thank you! Enjoy Hawaii. My family had a home on Molokai for 20 years.

Found your channel the other day and really appreciate the information. I looked through past videos and couldn't find any reviews on The Ordinary or other Deciem products. Did I miss it or do you not plan to review? Any reason why? I use mainly Korean or Japanese skincare products with a Cerave and LRP thrown in here and there. Love your sample closet. Hello Dr.Sugai! If I have white cast and thick layer of sunscreen at the end of the day, should we use oil or water based make up remover to remove the sunscreen first? Even if I have no make-up on? And then use cleanser? Or use cleanser twice? Because I feel cerave’s hydrating cleanser doesn’t wash off sunscreen well after cleansing twice. Please give us some suggestion on that! Thank you so much!
Hi Dr. Sugai, I know this is strange but if you don't mind me ask you about the cat scratch on my arm which the wound were healed but it has form a nodule and it's been there for almost 2 months now. I don't have insurance because I just moved and looking for a new job now. There is no pain or tenderness when I put pressure on the lump. OMG I wish my dermatologist gave these samples out!! Based on your prior videos, I went with the CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen and I love it! Any suggestions for an eye cream for a 50+ year old?
any moisturiser that you use on the rest of your face is suitable. There is no need for a separate eye cream. In fact on older people richer creams do not work well on crepey skin, you want a light gel type moisturiser for your eyes.
When I was a pharmaceutical representative I sold Accutane which cannot be sampled because it’s category X but I still spent time and had relationships with my docs of course, and they were so generous with giving the reps samples and great advice dermatologists are the absolute best doctors/specialists to call on I called on endocrinologist, cardiologist, internists and by far my dermatologist when I worked for Roche were the absolute best and yes their sample closets were dreamy. Dr. Sugai I was just in your area -my first visit to the Pacific Northwest from Northern California it’s beautiful for sure but I also lived in Hawaii in my 20s I lived on a wahoo and I totally get what you’re talking about with regard to beaches even the beaches in Northern California though they are stunning are very different from Hawaii I did however love Cannon Beach I spent a little birthday weekend there after leaving Washington it was lovely.
Does wiping sweat off your face when using a water resistant chemical sunscreen significantly reduce its effectiveness? Is patting the sweat any better?
I checked it out, thanks. Makes sense why I don't like a mineral sunscreen working out, but still not sure the best way to remove sweat. This morning, I just let it drip all over my shirt 😟
So you want to block Vitamin D in your body during the summer months, too? It only takes 10 TO 30 MINUTES(depending on color of skin) direct skin Sun exposure for our body to absorb the UVB rays that produces D hormones. This is available only between 10 am to 2 pmbwhen the Sun is 50° above your horizon in the months of May to September in the Northern Hemisphere. AFTER 10 to 30 minutes direct skin Sun exposure, then use sunscreen or sunblock.
Rain Drops: You have been misinformed. Clinical studies prove that using sunscreen even at maximum application *do not lower your vitamin D levels* .Vitamin D is *not* dependent on your exposure to the sun. You can live in the dessert your entire life with no shade an no sunscreen and still be vitamin D deficient. To understand how sunscreen and vitamin D work, look up: _Is SUNSCREEN CAUSING VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY? Dr Dray_ . NO sunscreen is 100% effective. And almost *no one* ever puts on enough sunscreen as it is. You need to *always* use sunscreen, the damage to your cells is cumulative. Clinical studies also show that sunscreens high in UVA result in *better* Vitamin D synthesis.
@UCqSW6sslzNo2uIJtQsVD_lQ You're the misinformed. UVA rays are long and available year-round and penetrates on clothes and even in shades but does not provide Vitamin D___UVB rays are short, does not penetrate on clothes, and available only when Sun's altitude is 50° above your horizon and is responsible for producing the D hormones. 80% of American's are Vitamin D deficient because they are not getting the UVB rays in the summer months at the right time of day. Like I said, after 10 to 30 minutes direct skin-sun exposure, use sunscreen or sunblock. Only 10 minutes if have white/fair skin....15 to 20 minutes for brown/medium skin tone....30 minutes for black/dark skin. AFTER that use sunscreen.
