Great review Tom! I love Salem’s Lot. It’s my favorite Stephen King book so far.

Salem’s Lot and Needful Things are at the top on my list of the King’s books I have yet to read. I’ll try to get to one of them later this year.

I’ve been told it has some strong ties to The Dark Tower

I enjoyed the book and also the miniseries with Donald Sutherland and Rob Low. Not my fave but liked the atmosphere.

King truly is brilliant at characterizing a small town setting, and this book is no exception. While this is currently your least favorite King book, you’ll be so glad you read it if you read The Dark Tower series! It has a lot of payoff for book 5 in that series.

I have heard this one is pretty important for The Dark Tower. I want to read some more King before I start down that path but am looking forward to it
