I've grown up with you! You are 2 years older than me, the same age as my sister. I got married in January 2023 so it's so exciting being married now and hearing your story! I had a similar story where I knew it was happening soon but I didn't think it was happening that day. He told me he was working but my mum and best friend took me to get my nails done. My mum then took a wrong turn as she was driving me to 'lunch' and I was like omg its happening but turns out she literally just took a wrong turn so then I was like oh its not happening lol. But then I saw him all dressed up in a suit and so I knew it was happening. He lead me to a private garden that was filled with rose petals and candles and a picnic for us. Was very romantic. I'm smiling the whole time hearing your story and seeing the happiness in your face and also so smiley remembering my story.

Congrats!!!! So exciting! I say for the wedding, think about yourselves first. For mine we had 100 people, almost exclusively family and we didn't get to spend time with all of them nor did we want to. The more people there the more people that want your attention when your focus is going to be on each other primarily. I also don't remember most of my wedding and neither does my best friend lol, so don't stress yourself out over it too much. Looking back I wish I didn't have such a big wedding and that instead of making choices to make other people happy I focused on what *we* wanted

I had a similar story where I knew it was happening soon but I didn't think it was happening that day. He told me he was working but my mum and best friend took me to get my nails done. My mum then took a wrong turn as she was driving me to 'lunch' and I was like omg its happening but turns out she literally just took a wrong turn so then I was like oh its not happening lol. But then I saw him all dressed up in a suit and so I knew it was happening. He lead me to a private garden that was filled with rose petals and candles and a picnic for us. Was very romantic. I'm smiling the whole time hearing your story and seeing the happiness in your face and also so smiley remembering my story.
My fiancé and I also kept our engagement it a secret and it was the best week! We truly just got to be together and enjoy it before being overwhelmed by everyone and jumping into wedding planning.

My husband had originally planned to propose on my birthday in March in Lake District but he couldn’t wait that long so he proposed on the first day of the holiday which 4 days before. He too said he wanted to get it done with because it was just playing on his mind. We spent the whole week celebrating. It was lovely. Congrats!!!! So exciting! I say for the wedding, think about yourselves first. For mine we had 100 people, almost exclusively family and we didn't get to spend time with all of them nor did we want to. The more people there the more people that want your attention when your focus is going to be on each other primarily. I also don't remember most of my wedding and neither does my best friend lol, so don't stress yourself out over it too much. Looking back I wish I didn't have such a big wedding and that instead of making choices to make other people happy I focused on what *we* wanted
