    I have just purchased this booth and have to admit, it does a great job. I must point out that the flexi hose screws into the window end, as well as into the rubber connector which goes onto the booth end with the clip.

    A very useful video. I am dragging my air brush out again for painting clay models and figurines. I live in and old wooden frame apartment building an a spray booth will be a must have. I will be using water based acrylics with no volatile organic compounds but still don.t want to breath paint with my asthmatic lungs or drive my wife's sensitive nose into rebellion . I have a spot next to a window on a busy city street that is more smelly and noisy than my studio. However the night time noise factor is an issue in the building we are in. So, I am checking out many paint booth reviews. This was good and useful.

      @@FacilityD20 Yeah, I think it is essential. My compressor is very quiet. As long as I stick to non volatile paints and thinners I think I should have no neighbour problems,unless my stroke damaged memory cause me to make a stupid mistake. That possibility is always possible.

    Great vid, spray booth is a very helpful part of the kit. I actually made one out of a large tote with some holes cut in it and a set of plug in computer fans drawing through a hepa sheet. It's good for acrylic paint through the ab, not spray paint or enamel/solvents.
    Re the noise from yours, it's only loud when you're airbrushing, which is typically loud anyways.

    • @FacilityD20
      @FacilityD20  Год назад +1

      @@FacilityD20 if I had the space for a legit one like yours I'd definitely do it, but my booth has to share space with the modeling and hand painting station.

    Nice video! :) I have the same booth.
    I believe you assembelled the hose wrong. The rubber connector is supposed to be between the booth and the hose. And then the end piece is screwed directly on the hose.

    • @FacilityD20
      @FacilityD20  Год назад +1

      I think so as well, so you can pack it up easier when you move it, from what I can tell with the pictures... but I found this way was a little easier for my particular set up with the ridged connection of the house to the unit, as I don't plan to even take this anywhere

      I'd really like a bigger extraction booth with bigger fans, but I don't have space for one and I more or less get by using a portable fold-up booth that has only a single fan. I mostly only paint small models and miniatures so it's good enough.

    I know I'm late to the party, and it may have been said already, but you've got the rubber boot on the wrong end. That's why the exhaust is loose. For the exhaust, you have to expand the hose, and then screw them together. The threads on the exhaust match the hose perfectly.

    absolutely should buy an airbrush booth if you airbrush very often, acrylics are less harmful so i use the booth with no mask but lacquers mask and booth because i have met painters with serious lung diseases who didnt take care of themselves and didnt use PPE and over the decades destroyed their lungs, granted they painted as a profession but better to be on the side of caution. im looking to buy an even stronger booth because i rather spend money on that than having lung problems in the future

      @@FacilityD20 I'm almost finished Building a 24 x 24 x 24 It cost me Little. I bought those 1/2 centimeter oe 3/16inch thick thing, I don,t know what we call it. My most expesive thing is a turbo fan that we put between hoses. Use it as a booster. It pulls 400 CFM. I can always add a fan in the back compartment if it's not enough. So $110CND for the turbo fan, $95CND for panels and pieces of wood and screws, wachers and bolt. add the 15% tax here we go. It's a tiny bit more expensive than the cheapest one and it's much bigger than even the most expensive ones.
