If you have a 2011 Jeep JK Wrangler or newer, want to install a sport cage to help protect your occupants but aren't really too fond of how much visibility you'll loose, the all new EVO Manufacturing Chromoly Sport Cage might be for you. Designed to offer strength and a greater amount of visibility, the EVO Sport Cage is completely laser cut, CNC press brake formed and fully fixture welded out of 4130 chromoly steel and in this short video, you'll get to see just how easy it is to install. Авто/Мото
By 1 minute, I was already like, yeah I'm too lazy for all of that lol
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Wayne Bodhi instablaster ;)
Thanks, Eddie. Well done, as usual.
This is one thing on my list probably be done this winter or late fall hopefully.
LIKED and enjoyed yet another very high quality video - hope to see you on the trail some day - Minnesota Trail Riders 4x4 club.
that looks awesome wish I could afford that!
Looks awesome.
looks great!
Wow the install seems like so much more work than the 07 RockHard cage I purchased. Then again, after watching the install, I think I would rather have Evo's cage in the event that I did actually use it (If I rolled). I do however like that my cage does stick out more. Makes me feel better seeing the money that i'll never get back on my jeep lol. They both run about the same price though I think. Had Evo come out with their cage a few months prior to the Pomona Off Road Expo, I'd probably have their cage instead. Can't really ever go wrong with Evo.
Like the idea but hate when they half ass little things. Like having access to your side panels and not boxing out the whole front cross member. Also the rear center brace is not boxed theres no reason it shouldn't be it would only make those areas just as strong as the rest of it
Love the look of the sport cage! I worry about drilling through the stock roll cage above the driver and passenger door. If these are the guys that built there race jeep, they know how important it is to never do that. I've built two cages for road racing in chumpcar, even they won't let you race with holes in your cage.
It should be noted that this is a "sport cage" and NOT a "racing cage". There is a BIG difference. Also, the kit is designed to be welded in if so desired.
Ok thank you. I've been looking around a lot at cages lately for my jeep and this is by far my favorite. It looks plenty strong around the cabin but I worry about the windshield caving in, with the holes.
I'd like to get the rock hard for my cherokee but I don't like how u can't get the kick panel off and looks like the tubing would get in the way of getting out of the jeep
Right, real easy.....just took 7-1/2 minutes.....haha....
I am curious why they take out the first gen JK? is there much difference in how the rollbar is laid out for jks older then 2011?
Hey Eddie does it work with a hard top?
Looks great! Would you recommend EVO over the RockHard on Moby?
On an 07-10 JK, I don't think you could go wrong with either.
have y'all thought about cordless tools? it would shorten the time for whatever you're installing.
Great work! Eddie did yall test fit before paint & install?
Nope, there was no need.
nice!!
How Long did it take you to install it?
Wow...such a thing of beauty & purpose! I want one, the wife is going to be mad, again lol
LOL
COOL
I wish it looked as good from the top off as it does from the inside. Just need to lift it high enough that it will never been seen I guess.
JaredInBlack I love that logic 😂
Uh, how do you get to the fuse panel on the drivers side?
There is no fuse panel there jeep jk only have fuse box under the hood.
Those extra holes on the driver side are for increased cooling!? :p
LOL! The holes were from a cage that we had previously installed.
I have the front assembly back to soundbar, is there anyway to still get the rest of the rear sport bar to the rear cross member
It requires you trim the sound bar.
@@wayalife I wasn't clear and apologize. Bought a Jeep with the Sport kit which they didn't install the rear kit. I was trying to get this rear kit and purchase it and couldn't find one. I called EVO and they advised they no longer manufacture this due to the unavailability of the Chromoly. Anyways I was looking for information to locate the rear kit and purchase it but this is not available. Thanks for replying. Do love my all EVO new Toy though. Keep up the videos we enjoy them!
Ok I need to find a video for a 2 Door Install.
Still liking it? I want to order one.
Oh yeah, love it. Love how much more you can see out the window.
Alguien me puede suministrar la dirección para comprar para mi wrangler unlimited 2016
Can this kit, or is there a kit that can be used with a hard top? 2014?
This kit WILL work with a 2011-17 hard top and without any modifications.
u can still use the hard top with this cage ?
YES and without having to modify it at all.
I see this is a "Sport" cage, does Evo or anyone else make a bolt in "Trail" cage that you would recommend?
Anything "bolt-in" is a "sport cage". If you want a real cage, it NEEDS to be welded in.
Thanks for the advice. I love your videos. I am loosely following your Calamity Jane video for my 97 TJ except that I am going with a 5.9L V8 & NV-4500 that Jeep should have offered.
Do they offer this for 2 door JK's? Also what's the price point on this?
You just need to order the front part as it is the same for both a 2-door and a 4-door.
Wayalife will it work with a hard top two door JK
How does this provide a greater amount of visibility?
The dash bar sits lower than a traditional tube. But, it's really a moot point being that they no longer make this cage.
I'm not entirely sure "easy" is the appropriate word for it.
LOL!! Trust me, compared to other sport cages I've installed, it IS easy.
Haha, I actually don't doubt that! You are just a pro when it comes to working on Jeeps, that's YOUR advantage. Haha ;-D
What is this feature for?
To show the jeep community that you have lots of money to spend on useless upgrades for your jeep.
@@xbpbat21x I spent money on upgrades, but for a snorkel, lights, front hitch bumper with a winch, 2 way radios and stereo with DVD and GPS but guess what, I get use out of all of those while playing around or working my JK but 3 years later, whats with the time, money and work installing the GIZMO here on this video? I see they're still available, but are they the same ones on the shelf and full of dust by now?
Looks like crap from top. I’m sure it’s not comfortable when you grab it with hand, and, doesn’t cutting into the speaker affect the acoustics? Rock Hard looks much nicer.
Clearly, you should buy a Rock Hard instead.
Sorry but it looks ugly
No need to be sorry. Clearly, to each their own.
