Great idea. Thanks for going though it with us. I don't have a band saw. Do you think this is possible with a mitre saw and a jig saw?

Thanks for watching. It would only be possible if all the sides and height of the box are smaller than the minimum cut depth of the jigsaw. Keeping the jigsaw from jumping around might be too difficult when cutting off the lid and base as well. I think it would be much easier and cleaner with a coping saw if you can get one.

Welcome! If you only need a small amount (like for this box), a woodworking shop like carbatec or rockler should have them
