  • What is it like owning an Audi S5 coupe for a full year? In this Audi S5 review I'm breaking down what I like and dislike about my Audi S5. I'll also talk about modifications and monthly finances including things like maintenance costs, gas cost, auto insurance costs, and more! At the very end, I rate my 2018 Audi S5 coupe based on Doug DeMuro's Doug Score criteria.

    Great video! True points. Ive had mine for almost 6 years now and its treated me greatly! Maintenance costs are significantly much lower when you dont go to the dealer.
    You definitely need to be willing to pay more in maintenance to keep these cars running and in good shape, but theyre worth it imo. You get a lot of car for the money, especially second hand. Especially if youre in a place that gets snow. Awd is needed. The coupe is more practical than you think, ive fit 4 wheels and tires before and actually used it to move and pickup furniture haha.

      Don’t make the same mistake he made. Buy your car in cash, don’t spend more than 50% of your salary and try to get a car 2-3 years old.

      as someone who grew up all-round the car industry and dealerships... the comment above money is correct.
      Now, sometimes that is easier said than done, but always remember; it is easier to stay out of debt than it is to dig yourself out of it. Don't take on a payment you cannot afford.

    This is a great review. I bought a 2017 A4 with no mods…yet. Thinking about doing an IE stage 1 tune. I’ve thought about changing to a S4/S5. Thanks for the review. I’m also a Penn State Alum. Go State! Wish we pulled a W yesterday against OSU

      Would definitely recommend stage 1! The one I have got an update and now there's even more crackles and burbles but the extra power is definitely appreciated. In regards to PSU: they hung on long enough to give us hope then got intercepted.. the defense is amazing but the offense is inconsistent and unfortunately we've lost too many times this season to make anything of it. Maybe we'll have a nice bowl game though.

    • @JohnThePA

      Yes, Stage 1 is a plug & play home install. You just need a laptop and the cord/software they provide. My brother did Stage 2 on his S5 Sportback and that required some modifications on the car itself.

    What is your coverage with geico like they quoted me 525 a month for 6 months yours is only 625 for 6 months!?

    • @JohnThePA
      @JohnThePA  Год назад

      Currently $701.32 for 6 months now. I have full comprehensive & collision with a $500 deductible. $300K for bodily injury to myself / $300K injury to others. $100K property damage coverage. $300k uninsured or underinsured motorist. $30/day car rental reimbursement ($900 max). Emergency Road Service coverage. Geico applied $372 in savings to my account for paying in full once every 6-months, a good driver discount, and a few more things. The minimum coverage in Pennsylvania is $15,000 bodily injury; $5,000 property damage; under/uninsured motorist of $15,000/person so my plan definitely exceeds those minimums at a price that works for me. I could always apply up to 500k or more for some of those categories (or remove the deductible) but then that comes with higher premiums. Insurance costs will vary heavily depending on your area, gender, how old you are, etc.
