Needed some squares for an upcoming project.
Made from steel plate and flat bar.
I know! I prefer video too. I never intended to upload these on YT.

A much more realistic take... No machining and still a square, um, square. Great job. I purchased some pre cut "DIY" squares off Etsy. Haven't welded them up yet, but I think if they weld out OK, it would be a good compromise.
    Thank you for the video.

      Thanks!
Go for it. If I was to make them again, I would only have one cut-out on each side for clamping. That way you can clamp in the very centre of the square.
Sorry for the delayed reply and I Appreciate your comment!

@@eduardosampoia5480 well, how accurate can you make them in your shop? If a degree or two is acceptable, then fine, but if you actually want them to be well within a degree so that when you square things up, they will fit across some arbitrary distance, say three feet, then you need them to be pretty accurate. Using a Carpenter’s square isn’t accurate. I’ve got several in different sizes, and none is really accurate. To make something, the item used as the standard needs to be more accurate than the part you’re making.
That doesn’t mean his aren’t good. He knows what he’s doing. But the average guy likely isn’t going to be as successful.
