Metabo does sponsor the channel but they are also among the best in fabrication tools......this is the model of the awesome cordless tapping drill I was using Metabo GB 18 LTX BL QI its best drill Ive ever used for metal work
#westweld #machining #handrail #fabrication #hinges
Aaron, what is the name of that drill / driver attachment that you used. When you push on it, it goes forward when you release it backs out.. love your videos, and you are an amazing craftsman, sir! may god bless us all, happy holidays/ Merry Christmas to all
Thanks!……I put the model number in the description

Thank you!!!!
It feels like the world will be a much better place, if everything will be produced with such level of quality and precision 👍 Thank you!
Yes the world would be better if we were all Japanese
@@janeblogs324 Why not german?🙂 I doubt that channel owner(Idk his name unfortunately) is anywhere close to japanese people) But it doesn't stop him from doing a quality job, right?))
So quality is not a question of nationality, its only question of attitude.
I can not express how much I appreciate your skills, your tools, and the excellent production.. This build has been just a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Mic 🙏
Your making it shiny because you and us get to appreciate how sweet it looks shiny before it gets painted. I really appreciate how when I watch your videos I feel like the precision and attention to detail is more for you then for us.
I do a lot of fabrication work for myself that will only ever be seen by me but find myself spending extra hours “making thing’s shiny”
This is just production on a different level. From camera set up, lighting, editing and post production. Its all just beautiful.
Not to mention the end result and installation. I hope the clients are happy with it and you get well paid! Well done Sir.
As someone who tries to make machining videos I know how much work it takes to get great shots. I appreciate your dedication. You are an inspiration to me. Your a rockstar!
Thanks man……I enjoy your videos too 👊
And he's sick, deffinitely 😩
I would imagine you've got more time in camera set up then the actual part.
Over the top excessive B roll. Want to love your videos but ain’t no one got time to watch every other action in slow motion
These are the kind of artisans whom make the world of machining and fabrication so beautiful. The functionality of each contour just make sense. Well done
Your level of precision in a home shop is incredible. Thanks for sharing your craft.
This is definitely a top quality work!!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks man👊
You do amazing work! I made railings for 20 years in New Jersey. Our inspectors never allowed horizontal pickets or cables so kids couldn't climb them like a ladder.
Iv heard that from a few people….. different codes here I guess
Блииин, улыбка с лица не сходила при просмотре, настолько уж хороша работа, аплодирую👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
It’s been far too long since the last time I watched a video of yours. I look forward to catching up this weekend. Thank you for sharing. 👍
I'm so impressed with your locking system and the adjustable bottom pivot. I'm also in Colorado and I own a locksmith business, and that system you made rivals some, if not all of the products that are out there.
If they don't need it unlocked very often you might consider drilling a hole in the end of the deadbolt for a padlock.
Abus makes a nice brass padlock that can be keyed to match Schlage, Kwikset, etc., so that they can match their house key. 8345 is the Schlage keyway and they are usually around 40 to 50 dollars.
Nice work though, very well put together video as well.

This is absolutely incredible. Im not a fabricator by trade but started learning while i was building my car. Funny thing is now i feel like im more into the design and fab of parts and stuff then the actual cars 😅
Hello sir, I have been watching your youtube channel for some time now from Brussels and each time I am amazed by your mastery in machining, welding ... I see in you a high-flying craftsman passionate about metal ... Respect and congratulations for these wonderful videos sir.
Thank you 👊
Beautiful. I woulda stopped at the 3D print and melted in some bushings because it works, is unseen encased in a tube, with no durability issues. Such nice execution.
There is nothing "sick" with making products as perfect as possible. It should be one of the definitions of being a human, do something that has never been done before. Bravo
I think what he was referring to is that a polished part is a poor substrate for paint. He had to scuff them again before painting. He knows better but being sick diminished his judgement on that.
Another great video! The attention to detail is soothing, almost a meditation. You do fantastic work!
Thanks again John Merry Christmas
There aren’t words, I feel like saying awesome doesn’t even come close to doing it justice. Assembled you miss so much of the work and precision that went into making each piece of that gate. Once it all welded up and sanded it’s all hidden. Whatever it is you call yourself (an artist) i sure hope your clients appreciate you. Unbelievable work 👍🏽
Phenomenal creation, precision, and production. The music at the end was an excellent finish to the video!
Ridiculous! You are ridiculously skilled in design, fabrication and videography. Well done 👍🏻
This is glorious. How has the algorithm not brought me here earlier, that's my day off sorted working through your other vids! Love this, thanks for sharing with us all. I can only aspire to your works!
Hey Bubba, outstanding design and work. Having been in the shop for the past 40 years (damn!), I was very impressed by your work and the cleanliness, I can start out clean, but in 15 minutes things start going awry. Keep it up, it's very entertaining. Thanks, I got some ideas about some beefy hinges from your videos too.
High skill hands with good tools the result is High-quality content, thank you I enjoyed it.
for the bearing weld pockets, make a heatsink copper/aluminum, this build is super cool and motivational. makes me want to build better.
Ridiculously good machining, welding, fabricating, and video work! Thank you for sharing your ideas and skills.
Love your craftsmanship!
We lived in a mountain home for a year that had glass deck rails like this. Unfortunately the number of birds that flew into the glass panels and killed themselves was quite high. A much less deadly (to birds at least) solution is a cabled rail system. And the glass also tends to get dirty with time.
Dude, you are the true meaning of craftsman!
Don't know why this didn't pop up in my alerts back when it first debuted! Great build. Love seeing that bandsaw clamp getting some good use! 😃
Thanks man…..I use that thing all the time
@@westweld Glad to hear you found it useful. It's one of those things that once you see how it works, you can't believe you didn't think of it years ago. 😁 Can't wait to see what you get up to next.
I am not sure why you have only 30K subscribers. I wish if I have the power to raise that number to 3M or more. The quality of your videos are very high and the music selection also good.
I think this a million times every time a new video posts
Thanks man 👊 …….I think you should be in charge of RUclips
Your production quality continues to escalate off the charts. As for your snow comments-Truer words were never spoken…
At first I watched a couple of your videos hoping to get some ideas and learn some techniques, but I found myself watching for the wonderful machine work, craftsmanship and the beauty of your designs. 👍🏽
VERY nice! Your creative solution to the problem is something to admire, almost as much as your attention to detail. Also I'm jealous of your shop. Hope you keep doing videos of your work. New subscriber here.
Aaron, I hope you are well and just tired of you tube. You produced some of the best content ever so i can imagine how taxing it might become. Hope to see some more soon, all the best Paul, Victoria BC
Wow... the quality... the editing... just wow
Magnificent workshop and what incredible professionalism ! Awesome achievement certainly for more than $5 grand for this custom double gate, but with such attention to detail the bill can easily double (at least in Switzerland) Great intro with this beautiful isolated house, feels like it was abandoned following an unexpected incident after a party... It leaves an air of "Shining" inhabited by a misanthrope. (love it) I enjoyed the Baer tapping paste from the great German products, all your machines which must envy of a lot of people, I'm a fan. Cheers from Switzerland
The “Shining” vibe definitely hit me too in the intro. This man’s work (design, fabrication, installation, photography, editing, etc.) is next level.
I really appreciate your detail orientation! Your work is stunningly beautiful in appearance and function!
NO!!! You are not sick, you are not a button pusher using a CNC plasma cutter or a CNC water jet cutter to cut those parts, bloody hell you even have a drafting set. You design the parts on the computer, and lay down the design on the metal by hand, and then proceed to machine those parts. NO SIR YOU ARE A DYING BREED "A CRAFTSMAN MACHINIST" Excellent work 👍👍👍 . Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourself, be safe 🇨🇦
I am at a loss for words. You are a true craftsman. Bravo. Never compromise. You have a gift.
Thanks David👊
Content like that will make the count climb.
Stunning work
Well, if that just isn’t Brilliant, attention to detail, the parts coming together. You most certainly an inspiration, and craftsmanship is off the wall. Simply beautiful, and such high standards, with any of your work for that matter. Love it.
Thanks for stopping by again Big Al I appreciate it
Epic attention to details, they sure paid off. Thanks for another inspiring video. When a new video drops-I wait until I’m somewhere to truly take the time to pay attention.
Thanks I always appreciate the support and you never miss one 👊
Love the gate man. Great job. What a lot of work on both vids, esp. the 1st one. Thanks for the entertainment.
Beautiful work all around. From the machining and fabrication to the video production. Stellar.
this is some serious craftsmanship, really quality work and production value, thanks for sharing
Amazing… Film / edit .. skilz and attention to detail… I’m genuinely seriously impressed great proof of concept then Reality superb enjoyed 🙏
Found you on Reddit and took the link to this vid. Now I’m wondering what the more important/bigger project was, making the item, or making this cinematic masterpiece. I’d like to picture myself in your boots in the future. Well done sire.
Aaron, Nicely done. Super sturdy and finely crafted.
Thanks Allen!
Your a genius young man! Thanks again for sharing.
Would love a video on your career journey. How you got started in welding, when you picked up your mill and lathe and why those models, etc.
Love the up the nose shot on the band saw
My favorite shot
Very impressive work on the locking system, I'm inspired!
Truly amazing I cannot be more envious of your talent and shop
A pleasure to watch your work. wow that center post stop is a real trip hazard.
Not a gate for walking through
I love your videos so much! Thoughtful design and masterful execution. It’s incredible to watch.
Thanks for putting this excellent build video together. You've really upped your video production, lighting, camera positioning, audio quality and editing. Merry Christmas to you, your family and everyone at West Weld.
Thanks Craig 👊 you as well
This man is sick…got some serious metal working skills. 🇺🇸👍
It's MASTERPIECE. Great video, beautiful production. cheering from South Korea
great documentary of engineering.. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 love with its
Beautiful engineering and fabrication. Im so glad i found your channel!! A cool concept to experiment with could be an automatic magnetic latching system. Magnets in the bottom of the gate would attract and register pins in the deck in the closed position to eliminate the need for the center stopping post that currently has the magnets in it. Might not be reliable enough, but a cool concept!
Thanks……. That’s a good idea I may try it on the next one
I love your videos and your work. They are made with a lot of care and detail. congratulations.
I was enjoing watching this video! It is best work in the world! When you want do something, you know how do it, and you able do it! It is technical art!
I just binge-watched your channel why did you stop filming videos? I hope all is well. I don't even weld and I enjoyed them. Can we get another season? We need to see more of the t-shirt collection and the rugged crocs.
Very smooth video. My compliments. And excellent metal work. Hats off.
You're a true craftsman...an outstanding fit and finish!
Just lovely work and fastidious attention to detail. The snowy landscape looks gorgeous but I'll wager it's a bugger to work in.
Regards, Preso
Thanks Preso….. it’s pretty to look at but that’s about it
Amazing design, engineering, and execution. I have to wonder though if the homeowner will even remotely appreciate the amount of work that went into that latch detail, especially with the 'revised' removable handle (which will probably be put in a drawer someplace and hence the latch never used).
Thanks ….. they most certainly will not but that’s ok I think turned out ok
Completely off the hook work! Elegant and durable. A true artisan approach to your craft. Top 3 video of YT in my opinion. Mad respect for your work and videos-
Beautiful work and an amazing workshop, thanks for sharing.
Stunning work. I checked your earlier videos, and can tell - you grew up soooo much. Wish you to develop further! Greetings from Siberia.
I have never seen such precision
I love the way you put your videos together!
At the beginning, i was ...did i click the wrong videos? It look like the scene from zombie game or smthing😁.

Talk about stepping up your game. Damn bro. First off, that hidden lock and hinge. Just beautiful.. it’s a work of art. And you have stepped up your cinematography and lighting and editing. Just F’n beautiful. My only complaint would be we want more content. Lol Hey, true beauty like this takes time. So keep doing what your doing bro. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
