I'm so impressed with your locking system and the adjustable bottom pivot. I'm also in Colorado and I own a locksmith business, and that system you made rivals some, if not all of the products that are out there.
If they don't need it unlocked very often you might consider drilling a hole in the end of the deadbolt for a padlock.
Abus makes a nice brass padlock that can be keyed to match Schlage, Kwikset, etc., so that they can match their house key. 8345 is the Schlage keyway and they are usually around 40 to 50 dollars.
Nice work though, very well put together video as well.

We lived in a mountain home for a year that had glass deck rails like this. Unfortunately the number of birds that flew into the glass panels and killed themselves was quite high. A much less deadly (to birds at least) solution is a cabled rail system. And the glass also tends to get dirty with time.

Magnificent workshop and what incredible professionalism ! Awesome achievement certainly for more than $5 grand for this custom double gate, but with such attention to detail the bill can easily double (at least in Switzerland) Great intro with this beautiful isolated house, feels like it was abandoned following an unexpected incident after a party... It leaves an air of "Shining" inhabited by a misanthrope. (love it) I enjoyed the Baer tapping paste from the great German products, all your machines which must envy of a lot of people, I'm a fan. Cheers from Switzerland

Magnets in the bottom of the gate would attract and register pins in the deck in the closed position to eliminate the need for the center stopping post that currently has the magnets in it. Might not be reliable enough, but a cool concept!
