  • In this video I put a few designs together and machined my own ball turner
These are Only things from amazon that I personally like and buy for my own shop.
Flex Zilla retractable extention cord reel----- amzn.to/3ew4dce ----- Awesome tool to have I have 2. Theyre good quality but expensive (worth it in my opinon)
40-Pc wire wheel brushes for drill or die grinder----- amzn.to/3bajcX6 ----- Good selection of various wire wheels and theyre cheap.
LocTite 603----- amzn.to/3tuT8wn ----- I mean its loctite not much to say works great
Metabo flat head grinder----- amzn.to/3tzRadX ----- Metabo flat head grinder best of the best German made angle grinder for getting in tight spots ( I know the price sucks)
Dykem layout fluid 2 pack------- amzn.to/3etNXbK ----- blue layout fluid 2 pack (its alittle cheaper than buying 1)
Markal Pro holder starter kit----- amzn.to/3hcago7 ----- This is the silver streak pencil you always see on my channel for laying out steel I love it (expensive but all the good stuff is)
Starrett automatic center punch----- amzn.to/3y74YAq ------ Awesome starrett auto center punch that you see in my vids love it best there is
Scotch brite deburring wheel----- amzn.to/33r8Td3 ----- this is the bench grinder wheel that I love puts almost mirror finish on steel and deburrs also lasts a long time ( make sure you get the right arbor size)
Precision twist drill index----- amzn.to/3ergxum ------this is the 115 piece drill index you see on my channel all the time......they have been great for me and they arent chinese
Walter flap discs----- amzn.to/3hatCd8 -----these are the flap discs you see on all my grinders. they are the best there are german made and trimable for longer use the only kind i use ( but very expensive)
Noga mister------ amzn.to/3h86P1L ----- This the little noga mister that I use on my mill it works well for the bridgeport
BXA tool post ------ amzn.to/2T0rBGw ------ this is the quick change toolpost and tool holders set (size BXA) that i bought for my lathe its chinese but good quality I have been very happy with it
Racheting tap handle -------- amzn.to/3wSJRAm ------ this is the racheting tap handle you see me use all the time, I bought mine at harbor frieght originally but theyre chinese made and are identical probbably made in the same factory
music from this guy awesome stuff

@@westweld Really novel take on the ball turner. Mounting it via the QCTP is a really clever. It really highlights that a QCTP can be so much more than just for basic tooling.
Just a thing for future videos do a bit of an intro where you are describing what your building or going to build. This is novel in that you are mounting it off the tool post but that isn't obvious until right near the end. So a some of what you were making at times wasn't very clear as to purpose. Some stuff was obvious but how it was all going to go together and work wasn't so clear.

god damn dude, this is just some solid freakin machining. beautiful camera work too. I'm pretty new to machining, been at it for just a bit under a year now, and sometimes I get discouraged because there is a lot to learn and sometimes problems can be difficult to track down. but every now and then I find a guy like you on youtube, just making beautiful parts and making crunchy, thick-ass chips, and it always gets me back in the shop with that extra motivation needed to tackle something I've been putting off, or maybe just to be less lazy about something. thanks for taking the time to make these videos on top of all the work you did to make the part. really man, thanks.

Your videos are mesmerizing, not to mention the machine work. This is coming from a photographer, machinist, and 30 year retired Submariner. I will pay you a compliment that I have paid to few others, "you would have made a great submariner". Imagine this, your submarine is deployed somewhere off the coast of Petropavlovsk on a top secret mission and the boat's Oxygen Generator breaks and you don't have the part on board. All you have is a small South Bend Lathe with a Versa-mill attachment; you not only design the work around part, but you machine it from the very limited supply of stock on board. All of this accomplished 500 feet below the surface of a very cold and unforgiving ocean. There is no doubt in my mind that you could have and would have excelled in this world. Small? My third of the basement is 13' x 22', which I share with the water heater and heat pump inside unit. There is a 30" path between a central core of shelves and the perimeter shelves (which I also share with my wife's seasonal decorations). Part of the central core is a 4'-6" x 24" bench with my 3" vise and electronic test gear (seldom used these days). I have a 6' x 30" work bench with my 7 x 16 mini lathe and a micro mill (on bases so I can push them back under a deep shelf and use the front 20" as needed, and a 4' x 24" low table (with a toolbox long the back) for small hand work. My mini mill is mounted on a reinforced steel 2-drawer file cabinet, and my surface plate lives on top of a rolling base cabinet as a moveable part of the central core (so I can access one of the shelves). The DeWalt/SWAG is mounted on top of a 30" x 18" rolling base cabinet with a Craftsman 3-wheel bandsaw for wood (in front of the shop vac which is in front of the outside door - if needed, I can move things and get outside in about 30 seconds, but I'm sure a building inspector wouldn't approve). For a production shop, what you have is tight, but I drool over hobbyists that have a two-car garage with just their equipment in it, or even if they have to share it with one car.
Sorry for rambling, but I'm jealous of your space, equipment and wide range of talents.

Excellent craftsmanship, Nice tunes aswell for the shots. Really like to see you make this especially with the measuring tools required. Not slot of people on YT actually use micrometers and true measures and such.
    Nice work mate!
