We had the same trouble in Lone Pine on January 2nd, and my Tesla battery was pre conditioned. We also had to wait in line, 5 cars deep, everyone was having the same problem. Ended up charging just enough to get to the new Bishop supercharger before heading up the grade to Mammoth.
That’s really wild to see Mojave chargers. Maybe it was 2 years or so ago took the model 3 (just traded it in and got a MYP last week!) and I remember there were only those 6 stalls or so at the end of the shopping strip. That Thai restaurant next to the chargers is pretty good if you find yourself back at that area again!
Gorgeous countryside. Thanks for giving us that panoramic shot of the mountains. I wonder whether the car didn't precondition because of that dropout where it wasn't giving you any information on the charger availability.
I am thinking you got slow speeds at the 2nd supercharger due to not preconditioning when you were showing all lightning bolts on the charger icons instead of # stalls available. Just a theory. When its cold on my mountain drives I see preconditioning turn on as far as 90 miles away. Then it will turn on and off as i drive.

Interesting. So it wasn’t just us. Thanks!
Nice to make that kind of trip with the family and beautiful surroundings.
Thanks for letting us come along! Love road trips!
Glad you enjoyed, the return trip is coming soon! Thank you
Great trip! I watched this in the heat of summer and it was even better. Thanks.
Glad you are sticking around for some road trip fun!
I wish I was one of your kids. You guys have so much fun! And I learn from you.
You are so kind. I wish our kids would realize how lucky they are!

I’m think the same. Thanks for watching!
@9:10 are you charging to 100%? Or are you going to 80%?
When you leave a space between you and other cars, don't call it 'stagger'. We call it the 'Urinal Rule'. LOL

Where do you store your spare tire? I didn’t see it in your trunk area.
It was there at the bottom of the pile 😀
@@TeslaTipsTrips if there was a flat, where would you put the flat if the car is packed to the brim?
@@TeslaTipsTrips The that would be 4 Ts , Tesla, Trips, Tips and Tricks for hiding the spare tire…lol
