It’s the fact we relate and like him bc we are fuck ups too. I’m so much like Jim, and I’m not edgy at all.
I think that just happens when you yourself think you are disgusting and then suddenly you are in a situation you believe you just don't deserve so you self savotage.
It's probably just fear that it can't last. When you have a negative attitude towards relationships, you get defensive. You can't just frolic happily if you secretly think, for example, that maybe she'd prefer to be frolicking with someone else. Some people learn the hard way how easy it is to end up feeling like an idiot.
Scary, I know and understand exactly all of the different feelings, thoughts, and emotions Jimmy was describing, it's when you know and experience that sinking sick feeling from your throat to your heart and down in your stomach, like the polar opposite feeling of being happy in love and satisfied with yourself, so.. so.. so.. much more than feeling happy and fulfilled that you can't become addicted to happiness you hardly know, like normal people, instead as he said "it's all you know" meaning misery, which then that misery becomes your happiness, it becomes something you only understand and like the saying "happiness in misery", so then also, you feel that any sign of happiness is a trap, only leading to even more disgust, like that's the only reason you had something good actually happen for once in the first place, just to drag you down deeper, sometimes the sabotage of the relationship is so you can say to yourself that you deserved for her to leave you, rather than thinking it's great and that you're doing everything right just to have her tell you she doesn't want or love you anymore for you and who you are, at what you thought was your best, which obviously feels worse than, oh, I was a purposeful dick and that's why, anyway hope Jimmy's feeling better, he's the best but just know how much being like that sucks
Yim needs to just try being single. Im someone who kinda hates the relationship bullshit too. Id rather live alone and be happy than have a gf or wife that lives with me talking my ear off while Im trying to focus on my own shit.
